POKEMON RANGER FAQ's
- How do I move up in my Ranger Rank?
If you continue to play through the storyline and those missions, you will eventually achieve the highest rank, 10, automatically. You will receive a promotion upon returning from a successful mission.
- What do I get from moving up in my said rank? There are a few benefits of moving up in rank. One would be the ability to use new Poke Assists, like how Ice has a requirement of rank 8. The actual inability to use certain Poke Assists will rarely count against you as you will rarely, if at all, even have the opportunity to use such an Assist. Another advantage is the amount of friend Pokemon you can have with you. At first, you will only be allowed four, but it will progress up to seven. Your partner's Discharge Assist can also be strengthened based on the Partner Gauge's bars, which will also rise when you rank up. Lastly, you can use the Dragonite Bus after you become rank 7. For the actual data, here is a table that matches all the special values to each rank:
| 1 | None | 1 | 4 | | 2 | Fighting | 1 | 4 | | 3 | Poison, Psychic | 2 | 4 | | 4 | Bug, Ground | 2 | 5 | | 5 | Rock | 3 | 5 | | 6 | Flying | 3 | 5 | | 7 | Dark, Ghost | 4 | 6 | | 8 | Ice | 4 | 6 | | 9 | None | 5 | 6 | | 10 | None | 5 | 7 |
- What about the Styler level? How can I level that up and what do I get? There are 20 Styler levels, and when you earn experience, it goes directly to your Styler. This experience can only be obtained by capturing Pokemon. The amount of experience needed to level up starts off quite small, at 100, and as in other games, it takes more experience to level up something every time that you reach a new level. At the end, the total amount of experience required to get to level 20 is 70800.
To answer the other question, what you can get, every time you level up the Styler, it receives a bonus. Your Styler's energy is boosted by around three or four each time, and the line's length is upped by five. As with your final experience amount, the maximum length is 200, and the maximum energy is 60.
- What's the easiest way to level the Styler? As mentioned in the guide over capturing Pokemon, you can boost the amount of experience earned per capture by drawing extra loops around the Pokemon. Also, you can gain more by capturing multiple Pokemon at the same time. There is no special, easy way to level up the Styler, but you can capture some Pokemon that give you a lot of experience continuously to make up for it. Just capture, release, exit the area, reenter the area, and repeat. If you really want a good place to do this, go to the Sekra Range and capture all five Shiftry at once. It would be best to use an Assist in this situation, and your partner's Discharge, a Fighting-type Assist, or just Piloswine's Ice Assist will do. Piloswine can be found right outside Shiftry's area, but beware, you can only freeze four Pokemon at once.

- Is it possible to play the Kyogre, Groudon or Rayquaza missions again? No, you would need to restart your file to get redo any missions.
- How can I get to each of the Regis? What can I do to easily capture each one? Regirock: Regirock is found in Sekra Range, but since there aren't any native Pokemon with a Burn: 3 Field Move, bring one along. So head over to Sekra Range. Capture a Poliwhirl as you head along and then just keep going along until you get to the area with falling rocks. Capture two of these "rocks" (Golem) as you'll need their Field Moves, too. Continue up that path to where the Vileplume are. Clear the boulder in front of the cliff and then use Poliwhirl's Soak to let the vine grow. Climb the vine and take down the wall in front of you. Go in and keep going straight until you reach a block of ice. Melt it, keep going, and you'll be in front of the door to Regirock's room.
Regice: Prior to heading to Panula Cave, grap a Pokemon with Cross and another with Burn: 3. Head to the area with two Golem and capture one. Below the Golem is a block of ice blocking a doorway. Clear the Ice and proceed through the door. Now, none of the visible holes will bring you anywhere important, so look to the boulders for your path. Pick the boulder on the right (the one on the left has nothing under it) and take it down to reveal a fourth hole. Walk to and fall down the hole. Next, use Cross to get to a post to your left. After you're pulled over, fall through the next hole and proceed up to get to Regice's door.
Registeel: First off, capture two Pokemon with the Cross Field Move and one with a Cut Field Move with at least the second power, as you'll need them all for later. Head to Krokka Tunnel and capture four Pokemon with a Crush: 2 or better, like Hariyama. Make your way to where the Hariyama are, if you aren't there already, and go to the small patch of water to the lower-left of it. Use Cross to get to the other side and make your way down the path. Upon entering the doorway, you'll fall down. Proceed to the left and cut down the Metal Fence. Enter through there and take down four of the many boulders blocking your path. Do this in a fashion so that you won't have to go back for more Pokemon, as you don't need to clear every boulder to get through the path. Carry on and use Cross for the next gap. Continue up and go through the door that leads to Registeel.

- Why won't Snorlax wake up? If you haven't beaten the game yet, and Snorlax is blocking an area from you, then you won't be able to capture it yet. If you have beaten the game, in order to wake up Snorlax, you need to obtain the browser data for every other Pokemon in the game. That would leave only Snorlax's browser spot open and would also cause Snorlax to wake up. Forturnately, it will stay awake constantly after that, so you won't need to worry about it falling asleep again.
- What can I do after I beat the game? After you've beaten the storyline, there's still some special missions to follow. There's also Ranger Net, which consists of more special missions to do. You can also fill your browser and set new records in the capture challenges, but if you're looking for something to do after all of that's done, there's not much the game offers other than the capture challenges. You can also just start the game over if you want to try doing it all over again.
- Who is the Drowzee Man? The Drowzee Man is a person that appears at Fiore Temple after you beat the game. He appears right before the top of the temple where you meet Gordor and his assembly of Entei, Raikou and Suicune. Coincidentally, what the man offers is a chance to relive that epic part of the story. There is a small catch though; you can only take three friend Pokemon with you, so you'll have to choose wisely if you want to make it easy. Upon accepting this, you will be transported back in time to that event. You'll also have to go through all the pre and post action (long dialogues), along with the credits, if you do do this.
