POKEMON PLATINUM
Pokemon Platinum is the third game of the fourth generation, complimenting Diamond and Pearl. The story focuses on Giratina, which appears in its Origin Forme while in the Distortion World. The game was released September 13th, 2008 in Japan, and March 22nd, 2009 in the United States.

Other Changes
- New outfits for the protagonists and the villains
- Story focusing on Giratina and the Distortion World
- A climate change in Sinnoh - things are colder as part of the story
- A special Regigigas was given out to activate events to capture Regirock, Registeel, and Regice
- Both Dialga and Palkia may be captured at Spear Pillar
- A Battle Frontier has been integrated into the Fight Area
- WiFi support has been expanded to 20 players, and features special events
- A new WiFi Poffin making game has been added
- The GTS has been expanded significantly to include video battles, PC box views, and even emails
- The Battle Recorder item allows you to record your battles and share them with others
- Several of the gyms have been reworked to include new challenges - darkness, boxing rings, and a moving flower clock, just to name a few!
- Several new characters have been introduced, including a detective following Team Galactic, and a Galactic Scientist
- Battle up to seven trainers in a row in the new Battle Frontier's Battle Tower to gain some BP
- In the Battle Frontier's Battle Factory, you can rent three Pokemon to battle with, like in Pokemon Stadium
- You can send emails via GTS
- A total of three minigames are included in the new GTS Station
- Cyrus is present at the beginning of the game
