POKEMON PLATINUM ALTERNATE FORMS

The Origin Forme of Giratina appears in the Distortion World, which is opened after your encounter with Cyrus at Mt. Coronet. Although their learnsets are identical, Giratina (Origin) has a different stat distribution to its Altered Forme.

Giratina will always be in its Altered Forme in Diamond and Pearl, but in Platinum, players can change Giratina to its Origin Forme using the Griseous Orb item from the Distortion World, or by entering the Distortion World itself.

The Sky Forme of Shaymin can be obtained by using the Gracidea Key Item on a Shaymin obtained via an official Nintendo Event. It must be day and Shaymin cannot be frozen in order for the Gracidea to work. Shaymin (Sky) has a different stat distribution and can learn new moves while in this altered form.

Rotom has five new forms which represent five electrical appliances that it has fused with. Inside the Galactic Eterna Building, you can gain access to a secret room using a Key that will be given away at a Nintendo Event. In this room, you'll find five appliances that correspond to each of Rotom's formes. While in an altered forme, Rotom gains an extra move: Overheat as Heat Rotom, Hydro Pump as Wash Rotom, Blizzard as Frost Rotom, Air Slash as Fan Rotom and Leaf Storm as Mow Rotom.
