In addition to clearer Corocoro images (see previous update), an ENGLISH trailer was added to Youtube this morning confirming that the "Mega" tag will stick around overseas, the new Gym Leader is Korrina of Shalour City, and the Torchic event is coming October 12 worldwide, with its Mega Stone -- the Blazikenite, as all Mega Stones are seemingly named after their Pokemon -- NOT being available during normal gameplay:
Like the more-detailed translations from Corocoro, the English trailer confirms that Mega Evolutions are NOT permanent changes, and trigger when the Pokemon is holding the Mega Stone in battle. A page was added to the offiicial XY site detailing Mega Mewtwo, Mega Blaziken and Mega Lucario; Mega Blaziken keeps Blaziken's height and weight, but Mega Lucario is now 4'3" and 126.8 lbs. The official XY English site also updated with English names for the three new Kalos Pokemon:

Electric/Fairy-type Dedenne, the Antenna Pokemon, retains his Japanese name and of his new ability Cheek Pouch, the site writes: "If a Pokemon with this Ability eats a Berry during battle, it will not only reap the usual benefits of that Berry, but will also be able to regain HP." Dedenne emits radio-waves from its whiskers to communicate with far-away allies, and is recognizable from its round shape. It also gets a new Electric-move called Nuzzle, which can paralyze the target.

Gogoat's prevolution is Skiddo, the Mount Pokemon. In addition to learning Leaf Blade and having Sap Sipper as its ability, Skiddo can be mounted by the player in certain areas just like Gogoat. The site says: "The gentle-natured Skiddo is said to have been the first Pokemon to live alongside humans. Thanks to living with humans so long, it doesn't seem to mind carrying people or loads on its back. Skiddo evolves into Gogoat, another Pokemon you'll be able to ride!"

Finally, the new rabbit-based Pokemon is Bunnelby, a Normal-type who digs into the ground with its large, shovel-shaped ears, which are strong enough to chop through thick tree roots. It gets the abilities Pick Up or Cheek Pouch and can learn the move Dig.

As stated above, the new Gym Leader is Korrine of Shalour City. Shalour City also is home to the Tower of Mastery, which has a connection to Mega Evolutions.

The "What's New" tab also describes a new feature called Super Training; after doing this, you also receive training bags to promote growth with Core Training. With another introductory page for understanding stats on the XY site and a new feature called the Effort-O-Meter (pictured above), it seems Gamefreak is apparently making Effort Values viewable and easier to manage!!
