New Mewtwo Forme Revealed on Pokemon Smash and Pokemon.com [permalink]

As many of you probably know, a poster for the sixteenth movie leaked about a week ago that had a new Pokemon that looked highly similar to Mewtwo, causing discussion that the new games/movie would feature a new form of Mewtwo. We decided not to post it here because nobody was certain of the legitimacy of the images... but now that the creature featured in the posters has official confirmation, here it is:
It's important to note that the none of the official sources have confirmed whether this is an alternate form of Mewtwo or a separate Pokemon who is related to him, like how Mewtwo and Mew are separate but related Pokemon. No other information about the Pokemon was given out, but a short video of Newtwo in action against Rampardos is also featured on the official XY page. I should reiterate that we can't jump to conclusions about what exactly "Newtwo" is; many expected Luvdisc and Alomomola to be related when BW came out, and that turned out to be false!
ETA: Corocoro leaked on Friday, April 12, and confirmed that the new Pokemon is indeed, a new forme of Mewtwo.
