Nintendo's first official broadcast of the year has revealed some exciting news! Two new Pokemon games are going to be released for the Nintendo 3DS. Pokemon fans, we have generation six: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y!

For the first time in Pokemon history, the game will be released across all regions simultaneously in October 2013. Gameplay footage looks impressive, with lush environments in full 3D.

The battle scenes follow suit, demonstrating a dynamic and fluid camera that is more akin to Colosseum/XD-style battle.

Furthermore, the three starters have been announced: Chespin the grass starter, Fennekin the fire starter, and Froakie the water starter.

We've also had a look at the new legendaries too, though their names have not been announced!

The full video is available for viewing at the Nintendo Direct Archive. Exciting times ahead! What features are you wanting in these new games? Will you be getting them when they come out?
