EDIT: Now that I've got a bit more time (and for the first time in nearly two months, sort of a desk!), here's your missing Psypoke Idol results from the last two weeks.
For Round 2 Group 4, we saw an average decline of 0.1243 stars in the Top 20 compared to their showings in the previous round. However, 6 of the 54 Pokemon did show improvement, including 1 of the Top 20.
The Top 5 for the group were Dragonite at 4.1618, Arcanine at 4.0704, Mewtwo at 4.0693, Lapras at 3.9635 (up 0.0997 from Round 1), and Feraligatr at 3.9545. The rest of the Top 20 were Swampert, Espeon, Ho-oh, Torterra, Snorlax, Origin Giratina, Absol, Serperior, Dialga, Flareon, Charmeleon, Pikachu, Victini, Volcarona, and Bulbasaur, who made the cut with a 3.5434-star average.

Now, for the final part of Round 2; Group 5. Overall, the Top 20 of the Group fell 0.1889 stars compared to Round 1. Two of the Top 20 were among the three Pokemon to improve this time.
The Top 5 were Tyranitar at 4.1204, Typhlosion at 4.0124, Lugia at 3.9278, Salamence at 3.9052, and Gardevoir at 3.8711. The rest of the Top 20 were Sceptile (whose 3.8583 was an improvement of 0.0078 on Round 1), Gengar, Zekrom, Zapdos, Milotic, Articuno, Ninetales, Cyndaquil, Crobat, Electivire, Infernape, Heracross, Rapidash, Machamp (whose 3.3263 was up 0.0828 compared to last time), and finally Riolu with a 3.3133 to make the cut.

The Bottom 5 this time were Dragon Arceus at 2.726, Spiritomb at 2.7009, Monferno at 2.6888, Water Genesect at 2.5985, and Steel Arceus at 2.5313 in last place.
With Round 2 over, Round 3 of Psypoke Idol is underway. Make sure to vote your favorites through the semifinals and into the final round!
For a quick news summary, there's been an announcement that a new Pokemon Center will be opening in the Sendai region, which is where the record-breaking earthquake and subsequent tsunami struck earlier this year.
Lastly, an official announcement has been made for a Zoroark Event in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The Pokemon will be available at Toys "R" Us stores starting the 18th, through the 25th in North America, and October 16th in Australia/New Zealand, as part of a month-long celebration of Zoroark itself.
Apparently, the Psypoke staff have been extremely busy. It seems as though we can no longer expect an update after each round of Psypoke Idol.
Note to the staff - it would probably be prudent to announce in the news that there won't be any further updates about Idol results (perhaps with the exception of the finals), then you won't have to worry about posting updates unless there is some real news.
I still think there should be a Psypoke contest for the prettiest shinies. :)
@IceArceus12 how about you just dont vote. just dont vote for charzard. just dont vote for charzard. just dont vote for charzard. just dont vote for charzard. just dont vote for charzard. can you see where this chant is going?
instead... VOTE FOR MUDKIPS. 5*'S FOR MUDKIPS /\ <( '_' )> for 5 stars.
@Frost, but wouldn't it put other Pokemon ahead by other votes? Though if you think about it, not all votes are good ones. Who knows Charizard could win that way. xP
What exactly do you mean by "noob"? Everyone has their own opinion, and not everyone's is the same! Do you see? I like Charizard, you don't. It doesn't bother me! (Example: Sally likes vanilla ice cream. Billy, however, doesn't like vanilla, but prefers chocolate ice cream. Billy and Sally's interest's are different, but they are still friends!) I know that was corny, but I'm trying to make a point here.
Biosci, the number of votes that a single Pokemon gets are averaged. If Pokemon A only gets a single vote and it's a five, it would beat Pokemon B even if Pokemon B had 5,000 votes and a 4.99 average.
Obviously, an example like that would never happen, but yeah.
Thanks for letting us know where we can find the Idol results, Frost. :)
I think Charizard is epic, but I don't like the fact that the same Pokemon always seem to get the highest ratings. Psypoke Idol gets a bit dull when the same Pokemon win the contest every time. :/
Yes, Frost! Thank you for the link to the results! We should be thankful we even have Psypoke Idol, not bicker over silly things like who made it through! The Psypoke staff is probably really busy, we should thank them for even remembering to update Psypokes!
For those who say Charizard is good in battle... It takes 50% from stealth rock Its ability Solar Power is the only threatening factor and it does residual damage... not to mention zard's low Hp It has 100 base speed which means that the likes of Infernape, Terrakion, Thundurus, Starmie etc.. can easily outspeed and OHKO. I'd say overall in battling : sucks. You all have your own opinions and childhood memories though.
I don't think Charizard sucks in battle, as the main factor holding it down is a completely unfair move that shouldn't even exist (Stealth Rock), but with that being said I only think it's okay and it winning would be a waste of time because it'd be so predictable.
For those who strangely like Charizard, I have to add to Dragoon_Tycoon's post that Charizard is completely outclassed by Moltres. Moltres still isn't that good anyway (just because it's a legend, doesn't mean it is the best of the best). Also, I try and respect other ppl opinions and i apologize if you're offended by what I say, we all have a opinions and we can all voice them
The main reason Charizard is cool is because it looks so awesome. :) I think of it as the original dragon, because its design is so much better than Dragonite's.
charchol-lizard might have been better if they never made dual types. rock moves have become far to common in the online metagame. charizard actualy dropped teirs because of it cant make up for its awful 4* weakness to stealth rock. coupled with its barely mediocre deffences and simply average SPA and SPE it is seen in the metagame as a lost cause.
Hmmmmmmmmmm i guess i dont like charizard fighting skills. >> i sound like smogon :D
With Charizard it comes down to strategy just like any other Pokemon. I'm not about to send one into battle if my oppenent uses stealth rock. Granted I agree with Frost on this, Charizard winning would be predictable thus he's not my first pick in this.
*sigh* I remember the good ol' days of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Charizard could learn dig (and I assume it still can?), and you could totally take advantage of slash with the old critical hit formula. Of course, in Red and Blue, Charizard couldn't learn fly... :P How's that for irony?
On a totally random thought, I've finally realized why Ash's Pikachu loses battles even though it should be, like, the ultimate Pokemon - Pikachu have awful base stats. And, of course, if it caps at level 100, there's not much to do to save Pikachu. :\
My 5's for round 3 are going to end up going to these guys: Venusaur, Mewtwo, Blaziken, and Rayquaza. And it'll stay that way. (Unless they all get booted out, but I dearly hope at least one of them stands a chance.)
Competitive prowess is a stupid reason to like or dislike something. What about your memories of using it in a playthrough, or design? There's a lot more than stats that goes into whether someone likes a Pokemon or not, so it's a poor argument to say that Charizard should be disliked just because it sucks in battle.
I don't think that people just dislike charizard for it's poor competitive prowess, they also dislike it for it's horrible appearance. Also many people are annoyed by the annoying 5 year olds who are like ZOMG it's Charizard!!! However, competitive battling is definately a factor to consider when judging how good a Pokemon is - it's just as a valid factor as design. If competitive prowess is a stupid reason to dislike a 'mon then also design/appearance is a stupid reason to dislike or like something. So then again, it's a poor argument that Pokemon should be liked because of their design.
Again, everyone has their own opinions and are free to express them. Personally, I base my judgment on 'mons like so: 25% Competitive Prowess, 25% Design, 25% In game Experiences and 25% General Instinct. I would be interested to know how others make a desicion on whether they like a 'mon or not.
The Charizard Argument is getting old fast Some people like him others don't. Calling someones method stupid or referring to people as 5 year olds is just immature. People will vote on what they want the way they want to Graphically, Competitively, or personal affinity, end of story....
I don't think IceArceus was literally calling every Charizard fan a five year old. Most likely, it was a reference to the five year olds who DO worship Charizard like a god.
@vaporterra True, any 3-digit base speed is good. But with the emergence of newer generations, especially Gen V, pokemon makers tend to put specific base speeds so it can outspeed/be outsped by other common pokemon. For example Landorus has 101 base speed, guess who is gamefreak targeting? zard, volcarona, salamence etc. Same with Genesect, who has 99 base speed @Frost I disagree however with your opinion about stealth rock, stealth rock can be really annoying if you are doing competitive battling. Unless you are fighting a noob, you will have to switch charizard (or any sweeper) out at least twice, because your opponent won't let his special wall die quickly. Similarly, the use of rapid spin has become quite common in the current metagame, so you still can implement Charizard in a team, if you have a rapid spinner, although this is hard too because you have to kill your opponent's stealth rocker/ghost type first, then rapid spin, THEN send in zard, good luck with that...
It wasn't me who called someones method stupid first, see rex09's post. Again as Frost pointed out, the five year old point was a reference. So I'm not actually immature
I tried to move on from the Charizard argument by asking how other individuals made their desicions on whether they liked a 'mon or not. Obviously some ppl want to argue still, but I'm trying to move on so yeah...
Personally, with judging a pokemon it should be just your own opinion that matters and not someone else's opinion. Like if you rate pokemon just by competitive value, or whether it looks cool, or whether it's helped you a lot, or whatever, and everone else rates pokemon by some other way, then so be it.
Also, people shouldn't be TOO defensive on their opinions. Like if you say "DURR I HATE CHARIZARD 'CAUSE IT'S SR WEAK!" then that's ok. But if you say "DURR I HATE CHARIZARD AND YOU SHOULD TOO!" then feelings get hurt and could even cause flamming.
Finally, like someone else said, everyone has their opinions and you should respect them. Like if you like something and your best friend absolutely despises that thing, you still get along with them anyway.
If there was a set way to base your ratings of each Pokemon, then logically, there would only be one favorite, and there'd be no point in any of this... So rate by your own standards and just be happy you have the chance to vote.
