Idol Round 1, Group 6 has come to a close, despite the server issues we faced shortly after it's start. It brings to the table a Top 2 that anyone could have seen coming.

The Top 5 of the week were Charizard, at 4.4346 stars, Metagross, at 4.097 stars, Moltres, at 3.9774 stars, Alakazam, at 3.9533 stars, and Snorlax, at 3.9356 stars. Rounding out your Top 30 were Raikou, Groudon, Reshiram, Electivire, Latias, Ninetales, Volcarona, Raichu, Krookodile, Skarmory, Starmie, Cobalion, Zebstrika, Galvantula, Regirock, Zweilous, Larvitar, Swellow, Exploud, Honchkrow, Kadabra, Arceus (Ghost), Noctowl, Muk, and Dodrio.

Just missing out were Genesect, at 3.0672 stars, Seadra, at 3.0651 stars, Shedinja, at 3.0359 stars, Golduck, at 2.9623 stars, and Hariyama, at 2.9544 stars. Genesect's loss to Arceus (Ghost) may be in part due to the fact that no one can (legally) own a Genesect yet (though that did nothing to stop it's alternate forms). Another curious entry this week was Number 71 - Unown ?, with 2.0409 stars, finishing quite a bit above its fellow Unown.

For your Bottom 5, I humbly present Stunfisk, at 1.8322 stars, Unown M, at 1.7432 stars, Unown G, at 1.7222 stars, Unown H, at 1.7185 stars, and Unown U, at 1.6792 stars.

Remember Psypoke Idol is now on a Sunday-based schedule after the server issues, not the Monday-based schedule it started on. Make sure you vote before the end of the day on Saturday.

In other news, I went and fixed an annoying bug with the PsyBlogs that was screwing up the list of most recent posts. I've also typed up a new post in my PsyBlog on the subject of my month-long pseudo-hiatus, if anyone's interested in reading it.

Come on Unown ! :D And I mean the ! version... I guess ? and ! have the best chances of any of the Unown forms.

@EVERYONE: STOP PUTTING ARCEUS IN THE NEXT ROUND. THERE ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH FORMS OF IT IN ALREADY. JESUS CHRIST.

I doubt Arceus will make it after the next round. Really never liked it much anyway and just for the heck of it go unown !.

@wickedwizerd22 heheh you should have seen my brother play his first pokemon game. he had ruby i believe and the only pokes he trained was his blaziken and bird (swellow). then he had like a lotad and wishmur and lunatone and mightyana. heh heh.

@wickedwizerd22 Dude Swellow isn't a fail with Guts and Flame Orb it can be a decent sweeper and it's somewhat comparable to Staraptor.

It's a shame Hariyama didn't make it. But I'm surprised that Shedinja almost made it. That pokemon can be easily countered. I hope Stunfisk has a fun time at failapalooza with the Unown.

this is just like last year, charizard is winning, and i agree with rex09 arceus sucks, i never liked legendary pokemons anyway

I'm not saying all legendaries suck; there are some that are neat. But we don't need to have 10 out of the 17 Arceus forms in the next round. 2 or 3 would be understandable (but still too much) in my opinion; but the amount we have seems like it's kind of overboard.

You know, this is basically a demonstration that if a Pokemon has several similar forms, then we only need to vote on ONE.

Maybe for the Arceus and Unown, but there are other Pokemon with alternate forms like Rotom that have completely different appearances and even types and stats (more so Shaymin/Origin Giratina here).
