Sorry for being so late in posting this, but things have been busy. Anyway, for all you statistics-oriented types out there, here's the round up from Idol Round 1 Group 3 last week:
Our Top 5 were Swampert with a 4.1779-star average, Blaziken with a 4.0523-star average, Darkrai with a 3.978-star average, Aggron with a 3.9552-star average, and Houndoom with a 3.833-star average.
Rounding out the Top 30 are Deoxys (Attack), Gyarados, Quilava, Pikachu, Victini, Wartortle, Notched-Ear Pichu, Ditto, Carracosta, Rhydon, Treecko, Rotom, Ursaring, Genesect (Water), Sneasel, Sharpedo, Magnezone, Blissey, Arceus (Fire), Kingler, Glalie, Porygon2, Politoed, Meloetta (Pirouette), and lastly Prinplup, who had a 2.9454-star average.
Just missing out are Kirlia with a 2.9378-star average, Arceus (Flying) with a 2.8602-star average, Beartic with a 2.8528-star average, Beedrill with a 2.8366-star average, and Bagon with a 2.8153-star average. On a purely personal note, Litwick's placement at #36 makes me sad. ;.;
The Bottom 5 this week were Unown J with a 1.7439-star average, Unown E with a 1.7197-star average, Burmy (Sandy) with a 1.6933-star average, Unown V with a 1.6707-star average, and Unown L with a 1.6661-star average.
Emerging Powers' press release was revealed yesterday; the set comes out on August 31, has 98 cards, and will debut over 25 new Unova Pokemon to the English TCG. Most of the cards will come from the Japanese Beginning Set, Black/White Collections and Battle Strength Decks; at least two English-exclusive cards will be the main cards of the theme decks that come out on August 17: Scolipede and Krookodile.
Lastly, starting tomorrow you can find Pokemon toys and TCG cards in McDonald's Happy Meals. There are twelve cards (nine of which are exclusive to the promotion) bundled with the eight toys, and they're randomly distributed, so if you want to collect them all, either plan to eat a lot of kids meals, or make friends with a manager.
The twelve cards in the promotion are the nine cards from the Japanese Journey Partners sets - Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Munna, Sandile, Blitzle, Pidove, Klink, Zorua - as well as reprints of Alomomola, Maractus and Audino from the English B/W set. The eight toys include the Unova Starters, BW's version mascots, Zorua, Zoroark and Pikachu.
Don't forget to vote for Group 4 of Psypoke Idol. Who do you want to see advance this week (no bonus points for guessing my answer)? Are you excited about the new TCG set? Are you going to start up a summer diet of Happy Meals? Let us know!
I'm not impressed with the new TCG set. "Over 25 new Unova Pokemon" when we still need 80+ in the English TCG is so blah. And like they're making new English-exclusive cards to fill out this set instead of dipping the newest Japanese set.
And I'll be eating two Happy Meals per day until I get all nine of the twelve promo cards that are exclusive to McDonald's. >:(
@Frost lol i would to if i didnt want to keep my 16% BMI... the cards do make me dissapoint however and i really finnaly got back into the swing of it... +25 my butt >:(
Idol wise im happy with swamps standing <3 but full of dissapoint at bliss's
me smart ol me just thought of this as i ACTION REPLAY my self a larvesta, they need to bring back dual type cards (and not the legends) like back in RSE
Pretty peeved that Kirlia just missed out D: I'm Irish, so none of these promotion/giveaways ever happen here :( Not really into the TCG, but the new ones do look fairly cool :)
Kind of annoyed that some of my favourites are in this round, 'cos it lowers the chance that they'll all get through :( This time, I've given my 5 stars to: Chandelure, Crobat, Cyndaquil, Dugtrio, ESPEON!!, Magmo, RALTS!!, Scizor and Shinx :D Espy, Ralts, Magmo, and Shinx better get through!
Can't wait to see who wins overall! Not very likely, but my money is hypothetically on Espeon, Giratina Origin and Feraligatr!! Here's hoping! :D
Unfortunately, Spoinkable, the chances of most unevolved Pokemon actually advancing in the prejudiced world of Psypoke Idol are unlikely. I gave it 5/5 though.
im only giving a 5 to the fire types, dragon types, gengar, noctowl, heracross, and tyranitar the starters get a 4 from me and legendarys only get a 2, everything else get a 1
