It's been a busy two weeks for us, especially this past week. Here's a breakdown of what's happened. We've invested in our own server. You'll notice that IGN's ads are gone now. As the owners of our new server, we have a much greater degree of control over the website. Of course, this hasn't been without its own set of challenged. We've spent the last week trying to optimize and tweak the new server. As of now, we've made several key changes that we believe should keep things running smoothly. Of course, that may all change come Sunday morning. With Black and White now out in Europe, our Psydex has received a nice little upgrade. All the English names for Pokemon, attacks, abilities, and locations have been added. English Pokedex entries are now available as well. The Walkthrough for Black and White has also been updated with another part, and the previous four parts have been revised to use the confirmed English names for the new Pokemon, moves, abilities, characters and locations. More guides are on the way as well. The forums have been reactivated (for the moment), but creation of new accounts is not possible at this time, due to an issue with the registration process. We'll have this resolved as soon as possible. Also note that should the server become overwhelmed again with the North American release of Black and White, the forums may again be closed down to try to stabilize core site functions like the Psydex. Welcome to the Fifth Generation of Pokemon, and the Sixth Generation of Psypoke!

wow first comment...anyway, i can't believe that PokÃ©mon Black and PokÃ©mon White come out tomorrow. I already have mine paid off at my local gamestop. I plan on picking it up right around when my local gamestop opens. Can't Wait!

I'm looking forward to buying Black and White! (I'll probably start with just one of the games... then buy the other one later.) I'm still experiencing very slow page loads, but hopefully you'll have the glitches sorted out soon. :) Well done on getting your own servers!

Yay, after spending a whole week on smogon I'm happy this site is back up. I was about to throw my computer out the window. No black or white yet. Waiting for opinions on them and deciding which one I want still, lol.

I reeeeeeeally wanna get Black! But my mom says she won't buy it for me :( My birthday isn't until December, and I can't afford to buy it myself, wah :((
My friend got White and she says it's the most awesomest game she's ever played, and it's way better than other versions, and it's really hard aswell. She picked Snivy, but I want Tepig :(

I really wish I could have a copy, but I guess I'll have to wait until I can talk my mom around, or get some money from somewhere :(

I'm sorry, but I'm not impressed with Black and White as RPGs. Great new Pokemon, but a horrible storyline and characters. I don't get the rave reviews for it at all. It's so thoroughly... average. As a game, it's DP-lite at best.

@Frost It's probably only hyped up due to it being new... I haven't seen any real professional reviews on them so that's why I'm waiting. I'm still looking forward to the favorite Gen V pokemon thread that you promised... Mudkip, that's not enough for me to decide lol. You need to PROVE why I should get white over black

BW got a PERFECT SCORE from Famitsu and that's supposed to be a BIG DEAL to the video gaming community. Personally, I suspect payola was involved.

My real problem with BW is that it's focused so much on the humans. Nobody cares about the humans in the Pokemon series; the Pokemon are the stars, and putting more emphasis on the weaker parts of the game (plot, characters) just makes the cliches of Pokemon's writing more obvious.

I mean, kudos for trying I guess, but Pokemon's never going to be like Final Fantasy or something in terms of deep human characters or story arcs.

Went to walmart and tried to get White yesterday, but sadly they were out of Pokemon White. It seems that not many people wanted Black. Oh well, I just got Black and started with Snivy. :D
