Oha Suta showed some triple battle footage this morning featuring Gochiruzeru, the rock-ish Pokemon that was revealed next to her in a previous trailer, and a new pink heart-shaped Pokemon named Mamanbou. The rock-like Pokemon's name has been revealed as Gigaiasu. Credit goes to Filb.de for catching a screenshot:
Mamanbou is the 32nd officially confirmed Generation V Pokemon, with the authenticity of the green bear still in question. The previous list of Generation V's Pokemon has updated as a result.
I would rather have the green thing :D i like him better, that girl is a hooker. and i don't like human looking things. ITS POKEMON. Not Pokemans. even though i tend to call it Pokemans, its not what it is! and i'll eat my cat. viscously, if it isn't.
I am going to laugh at all of you when it isn't an evolution of luvdisc. Though I am actually hoping it is since there hasn't been anything to connect these to the older pokemon
But seriously, that pink one... LOL if that's the evolution of luvdisc..and I think that there's a chance, I wonder why it has those hands or fins, instead of keeping it's simple form. And I hope the green one is real. XDD
first thing i thought was luvdisc evolution too :D and FINALLY we have the name Gigaiasu for that rock/crystal pokemon :) i can't wait for the rest of the pokemon to be known!!
Maybe it's to... you know... make people care about those Pokemon?
And boy, I'm really loving how everybody is jumping to the conclusion that this Pokemon is a Luvdisc evolution. It could just as easily be a completely separate bird, considering it has wings, rather than some random heartfish's evolution.
@frost i care for luvdisc :D and you could be right about it being a new flying heart fish but its like most evolutions they do sorta look like the younger pokemon or if its a pre-evolution they look like the pokemon there going to evolve in to, like mime jr into mr mime.. but then again not all pokemon evolutions look alike, like snorunt into froslass >< wow the creators sure love to keep us guessing...
It's ironic how i wanted to comment to solely say "luvdisc evolution" and then have 20 comments mentioning it. xD it probably is, and just to astound everyone, it'll be Water/Dragon. /sarcasm.
Oh my god, I can't believe how many people replied to my first message!! LOL...
@Frost: The comparison I would make is with the evolution of Yanma into Yanmega. The latter looks just like Yanma, only much more beefed up. It wouldn't have made any sense if there wasn't a connection. Tangrowth is the same.
Since this new Pokemon is another pink heart-shaped fish, and looks like an enhanced version of Luvdisc - it's even got the same little spot beneath its eyes - it looks far too much like Luvdisc to make any sense at all, except as its evolution.
Luvdisc is only useless in battle. Its purpose is to be a symbolic Pokemon, and a convenient source of Heart Scales for the Pokemon Move Tutors. But I do agree that it is the understatement of the millennium to say it's no use in battle...
I don't think that Gigaiasu makes much sense as a Nosepass evolution. There's one very good reason, and it's called Probopass.
If that pokemon to the right that looks like a evolution of luvdisc isn't a evolution of luvdisc there are much people here that have to buy new shoes XD but I think it will be an evolution, else it's pretty stupid... :P
@Yog Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was saying that like DarkAriados said, Luvdisc is a more symbolic Pokemon that IMO doesn't need an evolution. I was saying the evolution was unnecessary, not Luvdisc.
