I think the older man might be Brock's replacement. I hope not, Brock was the only other reason I watched the anime (Team Rocket being the other, we know they are safe), but maybe, just maybe, there is another Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny we don't know about!
Dawn seems to have gone the way of Pokemon girls past. Vanishing into the unknown.
But why does that girl look different from the in-game one?

The thing next to Jessie...looks like a bat. What do we know about TR? They love poison types and bats! Jessie might just have "a flying Christmas wreath" in B/W.

Who knows they may actually replace Brock with the male trainer from the games instead of using the girl. I highly doubt it it though.

If that guy is Brock's replacement, I'll be thoroughly creeped out. They already have a sex-crazed BREEDER as a young teen's best friend (just sayin), but to have an old dude accompany him across a new region? No, thank you.

So, let me get this straight, Ash Ketchum started his Pok?mon adventure at like, ten years old, and traveled across four regions and about to come to his fifth, excaltly how old is he now?

Clue: the anime's timeline hasn't matched up to ours in years. There's no way Ash is 23 right now. If each region takes as long as Kanto did in the anime timeline, then he's about 15 or 16.

He always leaves in the beginning of each Generation. Advanced and D/P (And Orange Islands) all say he vanishes for a while.

Water water starter evo is like a buizel and zangoose, almost. Also, the grass evo looks like a velociraptor ^_^ pretty awesome! Plus i think maybe the "flying Christmas Wreath" is maybe the Zubat of Gen V?

I like the evolutions of the starter pokemon, especially the otter. I'm not so sure about the girl. Her hair is...poofy. I think they should keep Brock, and replace the usual sidekick girl with the old guy. XD (or maybe the pig does evolve into him?)

If you LIKE the Koffing/Zubat thing, no offense, but that is SO LAME. I know I'm overreacting, but the pokemon in this generation and their evolutions are all lame, look like digimon, or they are narrow minded creations.

Wow, could you fit anymore cliched replies into that one comment, between calling ALL of the NEW Pokemon lame or adding they "look like Digimon"? How about "they look ugly!" or "they look stupid!" too? Don't forget other classics like "Everything after 251 sux!", "They look like [Pokemon A] and [Pokemon B]!!" or "They're running out of ideas!"

i think there's a chance that the new pokemon between jessie and the new girl are team rocket's , and the man OR the girl haves an Umbreon. or it means gray returns since he haves an Umbreon.

A Gym Leader (Dark type?-Umbreon?)
Brock's replacement

the iold guy with umbreon is probably the first dark gym leader, and the girl is probably his new rival.

interesting that there isn't any brock/the idea they might get rid of brock. i'm not convinced though - there isn't a replacement character there.

i don't think its likely dawn will extend to isshu though/the pattern may/misty followed changing.

Maybe this is the last season if that is Ash's father. I'm still trippin on what ash's mom said in the first episode about his father going on a journey. Plus the regions route start over so maybe it is the last game.

Anybody here who thinks that all the pokemon in generation V is poorly made or whatever else is stupid.
They made 4 generations and now making a 5th and this suppose to make a new revolution for pokemon, plus most of these pokemon are really creative although the new bat thing is creepy.
The animated series should either restart with new kids or Ash the pansy should stick with Dawn and Brock, unless the excuss for Dawn leaving is good Propobaly her going to the other regions with Berry or somethin to win more contests. In that case the new girl should be the new avatar from Black and White.

Oh gosh... If that black girl IS a female player, oh man, here comes 4Kids to ruin Pokemon all over again! That is, if anything happens that 4Kids will ruin... Like probably everything. Darn.

@Moonwraith Idk what drugs you're on but 4kids hasn't done Pokemon for years and when 4kids did dub Pokemon, they were great so don't insult them.
