For the past couple days I've been sitting back and just watching. Our new layout seems to be very well received. On behalf of everyone who worked on this layout, thank you. We're thrilled that the feedback has been so positive.
Over the past few days various bugs have popped up. Hopefully they've all been ironed out. If there are any problems you encounter with the site, please let me know so that I can get them taken care of.
I hope you're all enjoying playing through Pokemon Platinum. For those of you who didn't know, just a reminder that we have our full Platinum Walkthrough available if you're lost as to where to go next, or just looking for a good place to do some leveling.
Next on the list, I originally said that this update was the work of many, and that it is. A huge thank you to Frost for his work in updating various parts of the site. Firstly, he's rewritten the Anime Introduction to reflect and recap all the recent seasons. For the Psydex, he's rewritten all of the Abilities to more accurately describe their effects. The other major change is a complete revamp and updating of our TCG Section and subsequently the DeckDex. With 41 different card sets available, the TCG section has seen significant growth with this update.
There's still much to do around the site. We've got more ideas and plenty more to be working on. Specifically, I'd invite you all to leave a Talkback on this update and let me know: what do you think is the most important thing we should add to the Platinum Section now that the game has been released in the US?
Definately post-elite stuff should be put in. That has to be addetoe guide. Locations are another biggie for the Psydex. I didn't see anything in Platinum. Movesets for DPP - in-game, battle tower, or metagame competitive.
In addition to the changes in location of the aforementioned Technical and Hidden Machine locations, the Platinum walkthrough confuses the HMs that are enabled through obtaining the Hearthome and Pastoria gym badges. In the walkthrough (and D/P) they allow use of Surf and Defog respectfully, while in Platinum this is transposed. Other than that, I did not notice any mistakes when you templated the D/P walkthrough to Platinum.
It would be nice if, like before the update of the site, we didn't have to keep clicking what version we want when we look at a Pokemon's level up attacks.
Personally I have looked over the site trying to find a place that might do this, but haven't been able to. If it exists, I apologize. My suggestion is for you to create a search type engine where you can input multiple moves and see which pokemon can learn them either by level up / tm / hm. It would be really nice in order to create a "HM Guy".
I think a couple good ideas would be a guide for the legendaries (since there have been more added and some have changed location) and a Move Tutor Guide (there are 3 new move tutors on top of the 2 from D/P [these move tutors require certain number of colored shards, some require 1 color, some require more than 1 color]). Also a section on the Battle Frontier.
another thing that would nice is an updated list of the places you can see all the pokemon... they've been moved from their original locations or have had their pokemon changed... for example the cowgirl just barely outside sosoleon town had five or so bidoofs in dp but nor has a variety of pokemon...
