POKEMON FIRE RED AND LEAF GREEN WALKTHROUGH

#5 :: Chrono Island

There's lots to do on Five Island, Chrono Island. You'll first notice there's some wild Johto Pokemon available in the tall grass to the east of the Pokemon Center. First of all, make sure you have a spare slot in your lineup, then surf to the north-west to an island with an old man and a female trainer on it. If you talk to the old man, he will give you an egg which will later hatch into Togepi.

If you head north then east, you'll come across another island with some trainers and an empty house - continue east to find a cave. There are several exits out of the room - you'll want to go Right, Up, Down, Down, Right, Left, Down, Right and finally Up. The proper solution, as hinted by the Hiker in the first room, lies in the number of rocks present:
- Take the left exit as (1), the bottom as (2), the right as (3) and the top as (4). Continue numbering counter-clockwise with left as (5), bottom as (6) and so on.
- The number of rocks corresponds to the exit number that you've just figured out. For example. if there are 6 rocks present, take the bottom. If there are 9 present, take the left, and so on.
You'll reach Lady Selphy, who will battle you with two lv49 Persian. When you beat her, she'll take you back to her house, that empty house you passed by. She'll give you a Luxury Ball if you show her the Pokemon she's looking for, much like Bill's Grandfather from GSC (It's weird how her butler appears out of nowhere). Other items around Lost Cave include
- Lax Incense: From the start, head right then down.
- Sea Incense: From the start, head right, up, down then up.
- Max Revive: From the start, head right, up, down, down, right then right.
- Rare Candy: From the start, head right, up, down, down, right, left, down then left

You'll also find, to the east and south of the Pokemon Center, that there's a large building on the island. This is the Team Rocket Warehouse, and you'll be back here after you've visited Six Island.

At the southern end of the island, choose to surf and head all the way east and south as far as you can. You'll end up on a small island with a statue made of rocks called "Techtonix". Examine it, and choose to leave a Lemonade there. The guy next to you will give you TM42 - Facade as a token of appreciation. (You really have to do it yourself to find out the story behind this...). Immediately to the west and south is a Metal Coat.
