POKEMON FIRE RED AND LEAF GREEN WALKTHROUGH

Extra Areas

There are a few areas we have yet to cover in this Walkthrough, and they will be all found on this page. Firstly there is the Power Plant, secondly the Unknown Dungeon and finally the second trip to Indigo Plateau. Firstly, after having beaten the Elite Four, one of the Legendary Dogs is released, depending what your starter was. If you chose Bulbasaur, you will have the chance to catch Entei. If you chose Squirtle, you will have the chance to catch Raikou. If you chose Charmander, you will have the chance to catch Suicune. The one which is released will randomly appear, and you cannot predict which patch of grass in Kanto it could first appear. It will flee whenever it sees you, so just slowly work its health down - don't kill it!

Legendary - Raikou
Level 50
Type(s) Electric

Legendary - Entei
Level 50
Type(s) Fire

Legendary - Suicune
Level 50
Type(s) Water

Power Plant

Fly to the Pokecenter on Route 10, the one next to the Rock Tunnel. Head north until you see a strip of water and surf on it east and then south until you find the Power Plant. There is a Trainer at the entrance of the Power Plant:

Trainer Battle
PokeManiac
Pokemon Level
Rhyhorn Level 29
Lickitung Level 29
Money Earned: P1392

Head inside the Power Plant where you can catch some unique Electric Pokemon:

There are quite a few items (and fake Electrodes/Voltorbs hiding in item balls) so be sure to grab them all. For a map of the Power Plant click HERE. It isn't that hard to work your way through the Power Plant, and when you finally get to the end, a Zapdos awaits you :)

Legendary - Zapdos
Level 50
Type(s) Electric/Flying

Put it to sleep or paralyze it, lower its health to as low as you can and throw balls at it. You WILL eventually get it, although it may take some a while. Once you have Zapdos, head out to the left and you will be back at the Entrance having completed the Power Plant.

If you have been following this Walkthrough, it is likely that you have not gone to the Sevii Islands yet. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click next, as the remaining locations on this page will not yet be accessible.

Cerulean Cave

In order to get into the Cerulean Cave, you have to have obtained the National Dex from Oak, and both the Ruby and Sapphire Gems (ie. complete the Sevii Islands quest). Fly to Cerulean City, head north up Nugget Bridge, head to the left and Surf south and the west. You will eventually find a cave with some pretty decent Pokemon inside, so come prepared. For a full Guide on how to get through the dungeon, click HERE. This page has all the maps and walkthrough necessary, including the wild Pokemon found in each area. Eventually you will find Mewtwo:

Legendary - Mewtwo
Level 70
Type(s) Psychic

Mewtwo is one tought customer. Make sure you save before taking it on. Level 70 with Psychic, Recover, Swift and Safeguard. Work its health down and put it to sleep (won't work if Safeguard is in play). Just keep using Ultra Balls. If you want, use your Masterball. But be warned, it is often better to save it for your dog or Ho-oh/Lugia. Once you have caught Mewtwo, that's the Cerulean Cave done! Use an Escape Rope or work your way back out.

Indigo Plateau Revisited

After helping Lorelei at the Sevii Islands, you are able to challenge the Elite Four again. However, this time they are really ready for you. They are at much higher levels, and have new Pokemon. If you are having trouble, train up more in the Unknown Dungeon.
