Game Guides Rules

1. Follow the normal Forum Rules.

2. Make constructive replies. It’s understandable that a guide may be really, really good, but that’s no reason post “Wow, this is great. Thanks!” in every guide’s topic. It’s okay to post like that, just don’t overdo it. Posting constructively means pointing out suggestions for the guide or errors in the guide.

3. If you don’t have anything good to post, then don’t post. There is no need for posts like “This guide is stupid.” or “I could’ve done a better job.” This does nothing for the guide topic or discussion, and will be removed.

Submitting a Guide:

You might have noticed how normal people can’t start new topics here. That’s there for a good reason: so only guides can be here, and so only the guides allowed in are to be the only things discussed.

In order to submit a guide, you should post that topic in the forum that it would belong in other than this one. A moderator of that forum will move it here if it’s good enough.

What I mean by “good enough” is that it is mostly accurate and understandable. There’s not much stopping a guide from being moved here. If you feel your guide hasn’t been noticed by a moderator to move it, PM one that moderates the forum with a link.

Guide Criteria:

Here are some basic things to remember about writing a guide:

1. Minimize grammatical and spelling errors. If you do so, people can understand what you’re saying easier as well. The better your grammar, the better your guide will look and the less proofreading an admin will have to do if they plan on adding it to the site.

2. Know the subject. You should at least know a little about what you’re writing if you’re going to make a guide. If you don’t know anything about making a guide or the subject you’d be covering, you should get some help or don’t do it.

3. Explain all that you possibly can. If you’re writing a guide, you need to put in details. Otherwise, people will keep asking questions even though that you may know the answer anyway. Details are important, and are a big deal in writing any guide.

4. Don’t put down stuff that you don’t know or may be incorrect. If you seriously don’t know something that you’re about to put down on your guide, either don’t put it in or check to see what it is.

5. If Psypoke already has a guide that explains it, it doesn’t need another, especially if it’s not as good. Check the site first before making up a guide.

In addition to having your guide moved here or even put on the main site, you will receive a Psybuck reward for your efforts.

I tried to post my guide which I made before, but it said "Sorry, but only moderators post topics in this forum" Do I have to wait 'till I'll be a mod?

So just post it in some other relevant forum and it will be moved.
