Just so everything goes along smoothly, here's a list of rules.

1. No SPAM! This is not the place for it. Supermarkets
and your kitchen maybe, but not this board.

2. No off-topic posts! Put the posts where they go, it's not that hard.

3. No cursing! There's no need, and remember, children visit this board.

4. Keep all personal disputes outside.

5. Don't blow up at people because of a difference in opinion, because they asked a stupid question, or for any other reason.

TCM here with a bit of an update. Recently, there has been a wave of necromancy around here. (Reviving long dead topics.) Some mods are closing all topics that haven't been posted in for a month, but here's how it will work here.

1. All very old long dead threads will be locked.

2. All completely answered questions will be locked.

Just use your common sense, and if you are going to revive an older topic, you'd better have something intelligent to add.

S.P.A.M. = Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages.

Such as posting one word/sentence messages, or a post with just smilies. Posting something that is completely offtopic or flaming towards another member is also considered spam.

Wow!! I like this site!! You guys actually like to keep some discretion as opposed to other forums... I'm new here! :)

Why no necromancy? I mean jeez you guys blow up if someone asks a question before looking all through the forum logs and to me necromancy keeps the forum alive.

When there's already a thread for discussing a certain topic, or where an answer to a question asked has been posted, we will simply direct users to that thread and lock the current topic so that it's more convenient for anyone who is interested in that topic, rather than having to look through multiple topics. We don't penalise users for not searching through the forum topics before topics, unless that topic is a very conspicuous sticky.

Necromancy isn't a hard-and-fast rule; it is there to simply ensure that people do not revive old topics answering questions that have already been answered long ago, or simply adding one-liners without adding value to the discussion topic. If you find an old thread with questions left unanswered, or if you have something significant to add to an old discussion, it is fine to revive an old topic.

Thank oui Snowball. You have always been very respectful to me even when I am expecting a bit more flaming response.

You users need to learn from this. Being respectful can earn you respect.
