I was thinking, do you think nintendo would release something like pokemon waterblue just like they did in the original trilogy? I think they shouldn't break the chain, considering the original was red/blue/yellow, gold/silver/crystal, ruby/sapphire/emerald, firered/leafgreen/???

Yes. I like the original setup. But I don't know what new they could introduce which topples off Emerald without introducing a new land, or totally chaning Kanto as we know it. But will they go back to GBA (Hopefully they will choose the new GBE) after debuting to DS? I hope.. I have no intentions of buying DS; and since "It's not a sequel to GameBoy" I hope Pokemon continues on GBA. If they do create a Water Blue, it's probably for DS, but is the DS compatible with GBA? Still, if they do create one, either for GBA or they don't create one.

Perhaps they would add in a new battle frontier and gym rebattles. plus maybe expand the islands a little they seemed small to me.

I too think the islands were a bit small. And they seemed so rushed.. It was a good idea though, just bad completion. "Hey, let's cram all the other cr*p from R/S which is new and cool on a set of new Islands, let's put our heads together and call them something as smart as "One Island", and "Two Island". Cool?" "Sure."

What about Deoxys? Which type do you think it will be? Maybe a mega-HP type?

I believe there was a topic like this, so if anyone can find the link, please post it here and I'll lock this.
Previously, most people agreed that it is quite unlikely that Nintendo would come up with a third release for their remakes of RBY.

I do like the 3 set up thing, but I really doubt they're going to release anything like that now. It's not fair for squirtle! He doesn't have his own.

RED AND BLUE is like the exact thing....so..making a water blue now will be kinda weird...but theres still a chance for thunder/electric yellow right?

Firered is the same as Red, so what's your point? "Aquablue" or "Waterblue" I guess would be cool, but I'm ready to move on.

I don't think there'll be anything like AquaBlue though I do think there'll be a ThunderYellow.

The chances are ThunderYellow, you know Yellow wasn't as "recycled" as AquaBlue would be. With Pikachu following and all, that would be different since Blue was a exact duplicate of Red, Then AquaBlue would be no different.

They should have a Kanto adventure with the same sorta stuff as RSE, you know, like contests and secret bases and (from Emerald) being able to re-battle gym leaders

I think you're right, because isn't LeafGreen actually a remake of Blue? I'm not entirely sure of the history, but I think it was Green in Japan and for some reason they changed it to Blue in the US release... or is that just a rumor?
Then again, considering the three starters, a WaterBlue would also make sense I guess.

They should remake Yellow, but let you have a choice of what Pokemon follows you around. That would be so cool

guessing form the title of FireRed & LeafGreen, a blue version would probably be like RainBlue, but unless they add new features like being abe to get different pokemon that are normally unobtainable in FR & LG and a battle frontier-ish thing there probably will be no third Advance Kanto Generation.
I think the most they currently can do is add Celebi in it, but that would kinda null the possibility of Gold & Silver Remakes for GBA...
Well now that I'm thinking about it I think it might just be that the remakes only get two versions, one for the original two of that generation. any way in Japan the triligoy thing was ruined before it even started here in the US, because they release, Red, Blue, Green & Yellow, that four not three. Even though Yellow was the special edition one, its still a Kanto Generation game.

Changed the title to Pokemon WaterBlue/ElectricYellow, so discussion for both of these potential future remakes can take place under this thread. This means that other related threads will be considered as repeats and will be locked

perhaps AB/TW ould have a seak peak ahead. such as unchlax that couldnt battle or trade with other people till it evolved. Maybe Scott's cousin could create the "battle plain", dunno.

Okay, EVERYONE.
WaterBlue has been a registered trademark of Nintendo for sometime. Now, a lot of companies register names and such, but never use them. In keeping with the trend, there might quite possibly be a WATERBlue (what the hell is that aqua crap?). On the other hand, besides adding a few new places, there is nothing they can do in an upgraded version to help move the saga along or help us out at all except making us spend $33.95.
"ElectricYellow" is mostly out of the question. The previous Yellow version was one of its kind. Even the creator himself said this. What's antoher story they could make up? "We're going to attempt to sell another game where another special boy has a special pikachu who specially walks out of his damn pokeball." Sounds like fun!

Kinda agree with Antigua. It's pretty unlikely that there will be WaterBlue or Electric Yellow IMO. There's no need for them at all; FR/LG alone are able to fulfill the needs of everyone (i.e. ability to capture all Kanto Pokemon, etc)

I don't think they'll make more remakes of Red/Blue/Green/Yellow since gamefreak is already working on Diamon, pearl and XD

I think they're already done 'cause when I was buying my GB in a department store, I saw the D/P and I played a little of it, I new it was a bad game.
LG/FR and R/S/E is much better.

Wrong, because Diamond and Pearl have not been released yet. The games you saw might be the fake versions.

Why would they make a other remake of Kanto. They made a remake because they could catch all the Kanto Pokemon and trade it to Ruby or Sapphire to almost complete their pokedex. Why would they spend they're money on this.
