Good idea, but they'd have to make up an entirely new character since the three main suspects of Ash's father have been confirmed as false. Ash met Lance and it's pretty obvious he wasn't the Elite's kid, Professor Oak being his father is just wrong and pretty impossible anyway, and in FRLG, Giovanni is said to have a "redhead son." And Ash isn't redheaded, and doesn't have a brother. I'd still love to see Ash beat his father in the final episode, though.

That's a really great idea, and it's actually pretty possible, (or maybe it's just me wanting it to happen) and not too hard to make, just present him as an unknown champion and face them in the final battle, and at the very end of it, reveal he's Ash's father.

That would be interesting. I heard that some information about Ash's father would be revealed in the fifth season of pokemon, which is the season that's being aired right now, I believe. Anyway, I agree that Ash's father is probably the champion of pokemon... Ha. I can see it all now. Ash can finally become a true pokemon master, but then all of a sudden he discovers to claim the title he must defeat his own father in battle. Perhaps Ash would be upset and/or surprised... ? He might be upset because his father was champion the whole time and never made contact with him or his mother and he would be of course, surprised because he had never met his father before... so... Um... yeah. ^_^; That would be the best episode of pokemon of all time. ^_^

Pokemon is in its seventh season currently in America. Master Quest was the fifth, and WB has signed the show until the late 2000s, so I don't think we'll be seeing Ash's daddy for a while.

Blast! There are so many seasons, I lost count... but dang! There were a lot of them. I did hear that some information about Ash's dad was going to be revealed in the fifth season. ^_^; But now looking back on that, there wasn't anything about Ash's father that I recalled. They lied to me!

I don't think Pikachu will ever evolve. The people behind the anime won't let it; it's what gives Pikachu its identity.

Agreed. That's what makes this particular Pikachu so unique.
On the other hand, it could evolve but still retain its character, so it'll still be unique in a way.

I would think that a game that focused on another pokemon besides the starters (including pikachu since it was kind of like a starter..) would be cool. Pink version sounds like it would be a real version... besides I know someone around here would just love a game that focuses on Jigglypuff. ^_~

Actually I was thinking of a Chansey for myself ^_^
Maybe in Pink Version, you can choose from Chansey, Jigglypuff or Clefairy

I think it would be cool if a trainer was given a GS ball holding a Celbri as a starter pokemon. But Ash's Pokemon is according to Brock in the first episodes, above Level 8 (and way above to be able to reach the Pokemon leagues), it does not need to evolve. Actually Pikachu was really cute in the first episode, but now all it does is scream its name when it doesn't have to. It rarely communicates in the way it did in early Kanto. As for the Ash father mater, could SILVER, (or was it Red?) on mount silver be Ash's dad?
Btw, I feel it is possible Oak be Ash's father, Deliah's ex husband, and Gary's grandfather? Oak did show Ash a bias in giving him a Pikachu he caught in the hills of Pallet, when most people, even Grandson Gary were given regular starter Pokemon. Also, Oak did like Ash, and huigged him a little too close in Pokemon4Ever.

I don't watch the anime too much but I do know that Ash didn't get a regular starter Pok

honestly... i LIKE pikachu! i DONT like ash... ash is such a geek and he needs to go... i vote for a chick who isnt a dork... or have jesse and james go on the strait and narrow! that would own... or ... pikachu gets caught by jesse and james... and then they evolve it!... that would work... just as long as ash falls of a cliff or gets trampled by a heard of ryhorn's

Maybe Ash wants to delay evolving Pikachu until it reaches Lvl 100 when it cannot improve any further before using a Thunderstone on him.
For ratings purposes, they could arrange some reason for Pikachu to evolve, for example Pikachu might need to evolve so he could be strong enough to save the day or maybe even something as simple as an accident.

Expanding on DPMG:
Maybe if in ANOTHER  movie, they are facing a super strong poke and pikachu has to evolve to defeat it. Like pikachu VS deoxys or something.

I think Pikachu should not evolve (even though in the poll, I voted for the "Pokenapped" option ). A Pikachu has this kind of cuteness and playfulness that a Raichu doesn't.

Personally I think Pichu is the cutest out of the three.
But Raichu's my favorite.
I used like Pikachu when I started watching Pokemon in Mid-2000 early 2001, But after awhile I got annoyed of it.
Back to the discussion on Ash's Father:
How about Ash's Dad has a final evolution of every pokemon Ash has? And even had a Surfing as a starter, which is he evolved. I think that would be cool, Ash's Pikachu Vs. Ash's Father's Raichu for Trophy of the Pearl/Diamond League.
Maybe the Raichu could have:
Surf
Rain Dance
Thunder
Thunder Wave
Body Slam
Brick Break
Charm
Sweet Kiss
Agility
Iron Tail
Swagger
Charge
Volt Tackle
Wish
Sweet Kiss
(Hey there's no limit on how many moves)
It would be nice to see someone else actually use a Raichu right.
I also think the Ep with Surge didn't make sense.
Quote: Surge evolved his Raichu too early before it could learn speed atacks that it can only learn in it's Pikachu stage.
I thought they get stronger and faster when they evolve. (except for Scizor and Steelix, If I remember right their speed gets lower when they evolve.)?
Yet again good job screwing up Nintendo and 4Kids or whatever company makes the anime.

Um, no, the anime producers (4Kids just dubs the episodes...) DIDN'T screw up anything up with the Lt. Surge episode. Sure, Raichu is potentially faster than Pikachu in the video games, but Surge evolved his Raichu in the Anime immediately. Ash was able to capitalize on Surge's mistake; his Raichu became more of a powerhouse, but by using the attacks that his Pikachu could still learn, like Agility and Quick Attack, he was able to use Pikachu's speed to defeat Raichu.
The Anime has different (and more realistic, really) physics than the video games. It doesn't matter how fast something is in the video games, everybody's evasion abilities are still the same. But in the Anime, where the producers are emulating creatures that are actually sparring with one another, it does make more sense for the faster ones to be able to avoid attacks easier, which Pikachu was able to do, and therefore, beat the slower Raichu.
