I never said that someone used the word reboot, I was using it as a reference, since that is what a lot of people want. And yes, now that you mention it, they did play around with the three points, but at least it felt familiar to the originals. Saying that you'd want to have more characters, be able to go to another region, and/or have a whole new plotline, is a whole new game in creation.
Hell, the "whole new storyline" instantly makes it a new game. And, using ishiryoku's post as an example, putting all that into a little DS game cartridge is nearly impossible. _________________ DEFEATED NOW, B****?!? Honestly, Hoenn was my least favorite region. It was pretty boring. Emerald was good, considering you feuded with both Magma and Aqua, but R/S were... meh.
Agree with all mentioned by the OP. No. Hoenn is good where it's at- GBA. Need some nostalgia to end somewhere. _________________ Who said wrestlers and Pokemon couldn't get along? |

I, for one, am looking very forward to remakes of these games. As a lover of nature, I quickly became fond of Hoenn's terrain/landscape when R/S first came out.

Hoenn used to be my fav region until Unova appeared. I don't think that a total remake would be so good, though. Maybe with a few changes, an RSE2 would be the best choice. And just imagine Hoenn with Gen V Pokemon and 3DS graphics! Awesome!

I agree with ChilBill. Every generation has either been remade or has a DS form-appart from Hoenn. It's the second best region after Unova. It deserves to be great.

I would love to see RSE remakes. It is my favourite region by far and I would just like to see what they do differently.
