Man, I don't know why, but I really don't like naming my Pokemon.

The only group of Pokemon that I named was my Zigzagoon squad in Pokemon Sapphire. I had five Zigzagoons + Sceptile (lvl 100) to get some nice items, like Rare Candies and PP UP's. I spent a couple of hours in tall grass, killing some Pokemon just to use my Zigzagoons' Pick Up ability. They had stupid names like Thief, Robber, Mugger, etc...

I never nickname something unless I hack it (then I name it something stupid like U mad?), or if I'm going to trade it on the GTS (mature, isn't I?). But I used to in all my old games, and then it was something dumb like my old Mudkip (Swimmy).

i have some nicknames that have 'weird' names but actually sound cool when u realize how i made it. for instance, tinite, my dragonite, i got when she was a dratini becuz i wanted a dragonite; draTINI -> dragoniTE. piggut, my mamoswine, i got her as a swinub, the pig pokemon, and she likes to eat, so gut, as in stomach, therefore making piggut.

What's a good nickname for dragonite?

I named mine Tinite, because I caught it when it was a Dratini and it became a Dragonite. Caught it at night, so it sounds like tonight, but pronounced Tin-ite.
If its male, try using Draco. Yes, totally original. But, hey, it works!

Name it Francis.

How about "Warshack" from the watchman...if you dont know it, WATCH IT!

The first game I had was Diamond, but I never nicknamed any of my Pokemon in there for some reason.

I don't usually give nicknames. I named the Pokemon I used in Emerald Contests, however, and I used to call weak Pokemon like Magikarp, Feebas etc. after the names of my brother and cousins, just to annoy them. Oh, and I have a Whiscash named Whiskey

Anyone know a good nickname for a Torkoal? And please none of that "Flamey" or "Turtle" crap. I don't like naming my Pokemon obvious names.

How about Kiln, or Forge? (or a name related to one) Torkoal is based on a charcoal kiln, or possibly a forge.

Just to add a couple more possibilities, Vulcan, or Pompeii, or if its a girl, Helen(a).

Does anyone know any nicknames for Lugia as I am doing a nuzloke on SS and I don't know what to call it.
