Ok. I've been meaning to play TCG, but my brother never taught me how to play. So, can someone tell me the rules?

There are some interactive tutorials here that will each you the basics of the TCG. They run super slow on my computer though. If you'd rather read something, here is a pretty detailed document containing the rules: http://www.warpcore.org/~chairmankaga/pokemon/rulebook.pdfIf you don't like either of these just do a Google search and pick something else. These were pretty easy to find, anyway.

Alternatively, if you want a more detailed explanation on the rules, check here. This is something I helped to write and is mostly up to date - the main difference is that now you can currently play Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums on the first turn if you go first. Oh, and Supporters are discarded after you play them but it's still 1 per turn. (I find that to be silly, really - it encourages misplaying.) Any Pokemon theme deck should come with a basic rulebook as well. If you ever need a practice partner or something, I'm totally available to do that (I play TCG on a regular basis).

Thanks! I also need to go out and get a new pack because I only have two treasured pokemon that arent that strong and I dont have any pokemon from the 4th and 5th generations.

Sorry for the double post, but I needed something that could grab attention. So Easter's around the corner and I have those new EX cards in mind. Three questions: 1.) How much does one box cost? 2.) Where can I find them? 3.) Which one should I get? I'm kinda leaning towards Reshiram, since I loathe Zekrom (but not as much as Venusaur), and Kyurem is the bane of my existance.

I believe the cost is somewhere around $15 for a tin. I believe most places that sell cards, and even retail stores like Target or Wal-Mart will sell them. As for which one you should get? If you're serious about playing, then get Zekrom EX - it has the greatest competitive value of the 3 and is featured in what is currently the most-played deck in the format (Zekrom + Eelektrik).

Ok. Thanks! I'll try to get that one. But what about Reshiram's? Is it better than Kyurem's?

Reshiram and Kyurem are both gimmicky, really. They both have their uses, but overall I think Reshiram EX is a better card than Kyurem EX - higher damage output.

Well my mom was too anxious so I guess I'll have to buy the flash drive and the 2 packs with my own money. The same money I had set aside for a ps3. Theyre practically robbing me. I need a job and I need it badly. Do they come with energy cards, though? Because if not, I might just get Reshiram's because I have a bunch of Fire Energy cards and only one Electric.

Usually the only things that come with energy cards are starter decks - those are your most reliable sources for them, save for buying in bulk off an Internet supplier.
(It's really a pity though - there should be a place where you can get basic energy easily and not so restricted.)
