To help revive this region i wanted to ask what you think a classic team in this region would be. Or maybe another team? Like a Gold team, Rocket team etc... K so my idea of a classic team would be {meganium} {typhlosion} {feraligatr} {noctowl} {ampharos} {scizor} but thats just me! :D

Considering that Red's team is based off of the pokemon given to him in Pokemon Yellow, Gold's team should follow the same pattern. Probably something like

Typhlosion Gyarados-shiny Dragonite-with extremespeed Sudowoodo Togetic Hitmonlee/Hitmontop/Hitmonchan

So the writers put things in the show just so they can read our screwed-up fanfics? That explains everything

I see why you would pick {togetic}, the starters, and eeveelutions because they were given to you, on another topic someone said something like that. I wouldnt neccesarily say {tyranitar} becuase to me a classic team is simply made up of the pokemon that you would be given to you.

Shuckle has the best defense and s. defense ever. Shuckle with holding a Leftovers, and with Toxic and Sandstorm can be annoying.
Well, I don't exactly hate it, but I don't like to train it. It's boring.

Ampharos, Quagsire, Jumpfluff, the Starters, Milktank, Sudwoodoo, and Misdrevious all deserve nominations IMO. (sorry if the spelling is off.)

The Starters, Ampharos, and Quagsire makes sense. Miltank too, although most people try to forget about Miltank after getting past Whitney and just box it when they do catch one. Since Jumpluff and Stantler appear to be more support Pokemon (plus addon to the fact that they, along with the majority of other Pokemon), have barren movepools compared to even Generation 4's standards), I don't really think they were popular choices for teams in Johto games. Also, Misdreavus couldn't be obtained before the credits rolled in the original GSC, in fact not until you reached Mt.Silver, and by that point the only major event left in the game is Red so you probably have your team figured out. Even if you did want to train Misdreavus, it would really only be helpful against Espeon.
