The biggest bother to me in Gen V was Alder. How does his weak team make champion? Half his team falls to fire. I'm able to beat him solely with Reshiram, even though Reshiram is a legendary, it's the champ, he should be tough, not using Druddigon and Bouffalant, replace those with Haxorus and something that's not the normal type. As for Vanilluxe, well, need I say anything about it. No wonder N's lvl 50s beat him

You have to remember that GameFreak has to make the game beatable, or no one would buy it (that's the old time response, but I don't know now, since a lot of games now have your character die at the end).
I also find it strange how they say "You are teh champion and you go into big history machine thingie!" and then you go back in and the old champion is there, sitting oh-so-smugly in the same position you first saw them in, as if they beat you somehow and regained their title as "Most Overrated Character in the Game".

Just wait for the 3rd 5th GEN game to come out.
Just look at cinthea in DP and then in PLatinum.

Yeah I usually have more trouble clawing my way through victory road than beating the champs.

The champions in all the pokemon games should be a lot harder. I can go from the start of the game to beating the champion in any game in roughly a week. Apparently unknown to GameFreak, there is such a thing as "too easy".

Alder is overrated, but the first one, Lance, was not. This one champion is like the pokemon version of Chuck Norris. A team of Dragonites. NICE! That's what I used in the 2nd gen. But, back on topic. Yes, they NEED to start making the champs harder to defeat.

Well he was the original champion until Blue defeated him. But he still is a good elite 4 in gen 2.
