Despite the fact that I kinda hate Fighting-types a lot, I REALLY like the pig family.
This is one of the toughest starter choices I've ever had to face, though.

Snivy is going to be aforce to be reckoned with, with perversity and leaf sotrm , so am going with that , and i expect that we all will be hearing more of this this when black and white comes out, possibly worse than "cough cough" than garchomp

The only thing about Snivy's hidden ability is that ... it's a hidden ability. You still get Overgrow if you choose it as a starter.

Im gonna have to go with tepig. Yes its the thrid fire/fight type in a row. But im not very fond of Snivy or Oshowatt. In the end ill probably have all the starters anyway....

I voted Tepig, because unlike the last 2 Fire/fighting types, Emboar has a focused Offensive stat (AT) making it more like typhlison or charizard.

So, unlike blazkein and infernape, whose att and sp.att wher almost similar, Emboar's attack is gonna be more noticably higher than its sp.att?

Yes 23 base points higher, although I wish its SA was lower and those base stat points went to def or SDef

Note charizards and typlosions SA is 25 point higher than its AT Totaling 109
Emboars AT is 123 so its stronger then any of the Fire starters

Interesting.... I may like tepig and emboar more than I think I do. At least this way it's easier for me to decide how to train to it.

I definitely want Oshawott. I like all of them, but that damn otter is so desirable!

The water otter simply is repulsive and the grass started doesn't have enough ingame potential for my usage. Emboar has grown on me and while be a good addition.

I am going with Snivy, it just is more appealing to me...

Tepig has a boring Base Stat set up...

Oshawott is something I seen before Base Stat wise...

BTW, I tied up the poll with my vote on Snivy making it a 3 way tie of all 4s...

OSHAWOTT FTW

Mostly because I dislike Snivy's whole evolutionary line, and I only like Tepig (not Tedpig) and not his evos. So, that leaves the really cute otter who evolves into the beastly seal/samurai thing.

I picked the super cute fire piggy! Even though I don't like how Emboar looks. Pignite looks fine but I think they got a little carried away with making Emboar look tough/intimidating.

Im choosing Snivy because Jalorda looks like one of the best suporters in the game, learning leech seed and both reflect and lightscreen will set up for alot of better pokemon found later in the game (cos lets face it these are the worst set of startrs in game ever and they're all terrible)

Dikenki (final evo of oshawott) is a special attacking, fairly slow water type which is ouclassed by lapras who has a higher base stat total, gets stab Ice moves and is bulkier

Enbour is slow attacker with hardly any defences, and plus due to infernape and blaziken the fire fight types can be easily countered now.

Tepig is the way to go, it has high attack and hp, so it can destroy and take a hit :P

Osshawott.

Tepig is absolutely terrible. Yes, it trumps Chimchar for being the worst starter ever by FFFAAAAAAARR. In my opinion at least. Honestly I'm getting really sick of fire/fighting, even though it's good.

And Snivy? Who ever heard of a snake with legs? Snivy isn't too bad, I just like Osshawott better.

I don't think xerovene can get more specific then that about not liking Tepig, may be wrong though, maybe...

I know why I don't like it though, it is a pig which is meh, don't really get the hype there & it's name is not terrible(not a real reason but I still feel need to mention this, Tepig, bah!) & finally there is the evolution line up in which case Tepig is the only 1 I like at all as it doesn't have that boring Fire/Fighting Type Combo again in a row unlike it's evolved forms, it has the best design though I like it's first stage evolution's appearance to a exceptable degree too but not it's final evolution stage though & finally, It's Base Stat set up is just depressing to see & not what I am willing to except from a Fire Type starter yet AGAIN...where's the defensive Fire Type starter, where I tell you?...

Well, to me, saying it's just terrible is pretty vague ^_^ I agree a lot with you though LC, I love its design and the first evolution's design isn't bad but I hate Tepig's name, the type combo and the final stage. Stats don't usually influence whether I like a pokemon. (Plus, I love pigs!)

If I can get White as well, I will test out Oshawott, though I am displeased with Daikenki a bit as well considering what it evolved from but I don't dislike it as much as Enbuoo...

Still find it more interesting to use as it learns a new attack, something I am always interested in...

I'm choosing Oshawatt. I've ALWAYS chosen the water pokemon (besides in gen. 1 CHARIZARD RULES!) and I also am choosing oshawatt because I like it's evolutionary line. I'm a lil against snivy (haters may hate) because it just doesn't look like it took a long period of time to draw out. And for Tepig, I like him equally to Oshawatt but I just chose Oshawatt.
