well, im not exactly the best expert on team making, but so far the team sounds good. maybe instead of swellow, go for a dragon pokemon?(like maybe latias or latios or even rayquaza) and to be honest, i kinda dont like mightyenas but its up to you if you want to keep it. over all sounds pretty good

gyrdos isnt anygood, get a walrien cuz his icebeam will tear drake apart.
Absol for Mighyena
Skarmony for swallow
also i would make blazeakin a dual sweeper so you have less fire to be betean by wallice

Seems like an okay team to me, the only thing that comes to mind is that having Blaziken and Camerupt is a bit weird, Blaziken does a wonderful job as a mixed sweeper, using both fighting and fire moves.

I'd suggest switching Camerupt out for something that can deal with water, flying, and dragon types, as those are the only types you're not really effective against. Electric and Ice moves work wonders against those, so perhaps getting Starmie would be good. Starmie is a very versatile pokémon, learning Psychic, Surf, Thunderbolt, and Ice Beam.

Just a suggestion, otherwise, make sure you get something for those water and dragon types, as you can probably get Rock Slide on Donphan for the flying ones.

Ok i can tell some of these people must be new to this place or something so here's my advice.

Get rid of the following pokemon:

Gyrados (Electricity is 4 times effective and is common move type)
Donphan (Weakness of Earthquake which is also common and water types)
Mightyena (Not a very strong Dark type and cannot be taught many good moves)
Swellow (Very weak being weak against electric type moves)

Ok now Draxos, Absol is hardly any better than Mightyena and Skarmory is one of the worse pokemon in the game (Weak attacks).
Walrein is ok but you're better off with Milotic which has strong Sp. Def.

Hint: Use Pokemon that have strengths where your other pokemon have weaknesses.
Example: Gardevoir (Pyschic), Salamence (Learns Crunch).

in the whole ur team is ur choice, but if they are what you want, then you could really at least think about it, i mean, you have focused on only hoenn pokemon. i do love hoenn, but it does not have the greatest pokemon. you could find an FRLG game and trade for a mewtwo for some superpowered psychic battles, but it is ur choice, this is just a suggestion

I have not used donphan and camerupt so much by myself so i dont know their species.

But i think i maybe would replace donphan with salemence.
And since i usually dont uses camerupt i would replace it with a good water-type ;)

if gyrados' move set is like in crystal, gold, silver i would get it into high lvls.. then you can get good moves on him .

absol is a great pokemon and is a vast improvement over mighteyena.

secondly- skarmy is a great poke and 80 base attack isnt awful.

also walrein with, rest, hail and toxic is an amazing wall. milotic is OU and annoying

i had to read this 15 times before i understood but i think you mean have a balanced team with a variety of physical and special attackers?

if not you are smoking something...

pantura, hav u dicided, r u even on...HELLO!?!

milotic is only good for contests because of its copolsary high beauty.

skarmory suks!!! a metal bird, really, it is a bit to much like a plane, it can't fly in a thunderstorm, rain dance and thunder takes down stevens easy

i am with KingErick with the walrine and the absol though.

Milotic has some good movesets, with high special defense and Recover. Besides, why are you bashing it, no one else has even suggested it as a choice?

Skarmory is part flying. All flying pokemon are weak against electric. That's part of the game. Skarmory has great defense, is part Steel (offering lots of resistances, and only the weaknesses of fire and the aforementioned electric), and learns some pretty decent moves, such as the Spikes/Roar combo, Drill Peck, and Steel Wing.

fire(ho-oh) and electric(raikou) are two of the most powerful types, flamethrower or thunderbolt take it down OHKO because they are special attack, not attack, so defence does nothing.

What's your point? Name any pokemon and I'll name counters.

That team is so bad I'm not even going to bother correcting it. Seriously, you could make a better team just looking up the movesets on Psypokes. If you're just trying to beat the Elite Four, do whatever you want, but if you want a real Battle Tower team, post in the rating center when you've thought through it more.

these were made with the movesets on psypoke, just mixed and matched

also, that thing about the pokemon that u can find a counter for:

spiritomb
sabley

and

{arceus} @ earth plate
quiet nature
EVs: speed 255
flamethrower
thunderbolt
recover

I literally loled. As if being legendary is all that matters...go read Smogon articles. And my current OU team took about 15min to build, and generally holds its own on Shoddy.

Really? they failed to mention the special attacking Gyarados you posted

Having no type weaknesses is not the same thing as being invincible.

Quiet nature with Spe EVs...makes perfect sense.

legendaries are often given higher base stats(save phione)

There's no point to me writing a guide to competitive pokemon - which is what you need - when Smogon has great guides written already.

Since you obviously didn't get the sarcasm: why would you lower a stat that you're using? Especially when you're not even using Atk at all. But having a -Spe nature on a sweeper is a handicap of choice.

The point is your answer implies that all other pokemon are weaker, which is simply not true. If you compare legendaries with regular pokemon of the same tier, they are pretty much even in usability.

One suggestion I have is to try a Gulpin/Swalot. Most people actually overlook this awesome little tank. I've been making a recent run through emerald myself, trying pokémon I've never used before. I grabbed a swalot as a last resort when May tore through me just before Mauville, and trained it up on the local creatures a bit. She quickly gained plenty of hit points and was naturally strong vs. grass type attacks. Sludge proved to be able to dispatch her main pokémon, Grovyle in a single hit. Since then, I've found a simple combo of Sludge Bomb and Body Slam to be utterly devastating, even to pokémon who are naturally strong and even in level, such as when you battle Gabby&Ty, a single blast of sludge took out an equally levelled Magneton. I also have the option of using Yawn or Toxic, giving me plenty of options. Ontop of this, Swalot can be taught a fair few TMs, meaning it's a fairly versatile pokémon and a great meat tank when you need to buy some time.

I've also been experimenting with a Zangoose, as a friend recommended it to me. Had to trade it over after i realised you can't catch them in Emerald. It's become another fairly powerful member of my party and currently knows Slash, Swords Dance and Shockwave. I have yet to decide on a fourth move, but I'm considering Rain dance, as I can use this to penalise opponents and support other pokémon in my party, such as swampert. Rain Dance only effects Thunder as for as electric type moves go, so no bonus to shockwave, but it causes all fire types to do less damage, and causes solar beam to be weaker, giving me several possible advantages. If anyone has a better suggestion, feel free to PM me.

That aside, if you decide to experiment, I highly recommend these two. also, if ever you decide to try out a Swampert, I suggest this move set. Surf, Ice Beam, Brick Break and Earthquake. I've seen others use a similar setup, but with Protect in place of Surf. I'm not certain why, but i rarely use defense moves, if ever. plus, Surf gives a STAB bonus, meaning it goes from a power of 90 to a power of 135.

I hope this proves useful to you, and possibly to anyone else here. Good luck!

A lot of things can beat this honestly.

Quote:
Gyrados (Electricity is 4 times effective and is common move type) <- Get a jolteon to go with it, or any ground type like omg Donphan
Donphan (Weakness of Earthquake which is also common and water types) <- Weakness of EARTHQUAKE!? Last I checked, ground is neutral on ground. Damage calc of an EQ from Groudon (which would be the strongest EQ in the game btw) does 49.5-58.6% to Donphan with a LIFE ORB, how is that a weakness? This would be what you switch in on electric
Mightyena (Not a very strong Dark type and cannot be taught many good moves) <- I agree
Swellow (Very weak being weak against electric type moves) <- Guts + Status (i.e. Toxic Orb or Flame Orb) + Facade

While I think that Blaziken, Aggron, Absol, Shiftry, Rayquaza, and Flygon would be great. That's many different types and powers all mixed into one group. Plus, these all would beat the Elite Four, if strategic and movesets are tuned to perfection. (But i'd rather have a Sceptile then Blaziken).

A high level Gardevoir with moonblast, psychic, shadow ball, and protect is essential for the top pick after that I would say an Absol with dark slash, shadow ball, swords dance, and crunch, then Latios with fly, Dragon pulse, surf ,and dive, a high level Mawile with incinerate, crunch, takedown, and play rough, a Blazekin, and finally a high level Sylveon due to its love abilities from Poke-Amie.
