on the subject of themed teams what about a an elite 4 themed team?

where you take 1 pokemon from each member and add one wild card of your own?

I will not say what I would usually say when something like this happens, not this time...

He would have gotten it either from breeding or from a pokewalker course which is kind of the easier way imo...

This would be awesome if you are for the sake of conversation including the Champion's team in this equation before adding the wild card...yeah, that would be awesome, I should do this already in FRLG & get to work on obtaining more Master Balls already...

My team will probably be...

{sceptile} {gorebyss} {houndoom} {metagross} {flygon} {hariyama}

I'm a big fan of Hoenn region Pokemon. Well, Houndoom is native to Johto but I like it, too...

I need some help with my team.
I've got
{lugia}
{pupitar} (working up to {tyranitar})
{typhlosion}
{feraligatr}
{gengar} and
{gliscor}
but I'd like to swap {gliscor} out for another pokemon because {tyranitar} is ground as well and I don't think two ground types in a team is going to help me much, plus the majority of {gliscor}'s stats aren't that great.
But I don't know what to change to, I have access to a {shaymin}, {darkrai} or even {arceus} or all the other generation games to migrate or trade, and I have quite a few legendaries still to catch (for soul silver).
Any suggestions?

Don't swap out Gliscor, imo.
Tyranitar is Rock/Dark, it loses the Ground typing.
Plus, it gains the ability Sand Stream, so having another pokemon immune to the Sandstorm will be incredibly useful.

first lugia needs to go.

then you got this:
{tyranitar}
{typhlosion}
{feraligatr}
{gengar}
{gliscor}

gliscor is cool; but if this is for in game then you dont need a wall like gliscor so i would say scratch him.

{tyranitar}
{typhlosion}
{feraligatr}
{gengar}

now every member of your team will take an electric type attack ether nuetrally or supereffectively and none resist it so i would add a ground type that has offensive ability and isnt named gliscor.

how about a pokemon that is native to your region?

{tyranitar}
{typhlosion}
{feraligatr}
{gengar}
{rhyperior}

the water weakness can be covered (by switching) with feraligater, the grass by typhlosion, and the fighting by gengar. plus if you get one with solid rock (you always should) then supereffective moves are half as powerful making him a huge physical tank.

to round the team off and fly it you could use a dragonite or a dordrio or a pidgeot or a zatu or a aerodactyl or a

{tyranitar}
{typhlosion}
{feraligatr}
{gengar}
{rhyperior}
{zapdos}

adding a way to kill water pokemon and rounding off your team beautifully :D

no walls or healers so you could be in trouble.

im presuming that all the pokemon are going the obvious stats route so you have 4 or 5 physical attackers and only one special attacker.

no walls and nothing really that fast to rapidly sweep.

i give this a c-

thanks for the rate man i was thinking of a {Rhyperior} for something like a wall or a {blissey} for a healer but other than that but if you can suggest something better than would be most appreciated thanks KING ERIK

Hm! You play the way I do, from the looks of it.
I don't generally waste time with walls and healers and crap, I just go in for the kill as quickly and efficiently as I can.

Firstly, I'm curious what {absol} will replace.
Secondly, I think your mix is decent.
{togekiss} is annoying as HEYELL and can really disrupt your opponents' plans, which is good, because you're squishy.
{dragonite} is mainly a physical attacker, but his SpAtk is nothing to shake a stick at. Him, combined with the Toge (and maybe some special moves on Blaziken) will round you out beautifully (offensively, anyway).
Thirdly, you have nice types here. You'll have to be careful to not use {blaziken} and {gallade} in the same fight, due to Flying being so common, but you could still destroy that type with...
Ice Fang {feraligatr}
Stone Edge {gallade}
any rock move {tyranitar}
and maybe even something on {dragonite}

Again, I fight the old fashioned '11-year-old' way, which is kill them dead as fast as you can. (And it works for me.)
You could maybe afford to get rid of {tyranitar} for a tank/healer. I say him because it would remove the constant health being drained on the rest of your team, while adding a healer.
But Tyranitar's raw power can't be overlooked.
In conclusion, I think you're good. I give it an A-

thanks man i really appriciate the help

the reason i have {tyranitar} and {blaziken} is because they both a have a base attack of 350 with my {tyranitar} and {blaziken} knowing all physical attacks its all good

I've given up on {gallade} cause i lvled him to lvl 60 and he was not worth it

I am trying to get a rhyperior for something like a wall

but as you say "the 11 year old" stratagies but i have to admit i love that style man

On my second run-through of Gold I'm using:
{typhlosion} {electrode} {slowbro} {glaceon} {gliscor} {dragonite}

Never used any of them before except Slowbro. Glaceon has not really been working for me... any suggestions for good, solid ice-types? I used a Mamoswine last time and I'd really like to train something different.

I'd suggest {lapras} if you don't mind having two Water-types.
Otherwise, {jynx} ... if you don't mind having two Psychics lol.
