What is a fast, good pokemon that can learn block or mean look, like, immediately?
Snorlax is incredibly slow and only works for Raikou and Entei, not Latias.
also treecko is awesome :D

{gengar} is your best option for Mean Look...sad but true...& no pokemon that learns Block is fast...also, {ariados} is a fast pokemon that learns Spider Web which does the same thing but is...a Bug Type...pick your poison, I myself used {umbreon} but couldn't outspeed Zapdos in Platinum...meh...

I really recommend the {gastly} family.
Much faster, and he practically starts with Mean Look.
Plus, Normal and Fighting don't work on it,
AND it learns Spite to wear down PP.
This plus Hypnosis make it the perfect catcher.

Sadly Hypnosis accurancy + a dark attack being launched at you = chaos but the {gastly} family is clearly the best choice due to great speed, spatk & good movepool for catching pokemon like the runners...pretty much all the others have it bad unless they are way higher in level then the pokemon you are trying to catch...& there is roar to worry about which I hate very much...even Gengar has to worry about this move but that's it...

Hi everyone! I was wondering if you have to do some special process to activate the mistery gift just like in Diamond & Pearl. Iknow its already in the options at the start screen but, it is just somthing bugging me because y don't want to lose any wi-fi events if don't have mystery gift´properly activated.

I'll appreciate your help.

I believe that Mystery Gift is available as soon as you start the game. There's no special process to get it, it's just there. It's the option after "Connect to Pokewalker" but you have to scroll down to see it on the beginning menu before you resume your game.

Yes, just use {gengar} ...

Get 5 of them then go the Ethan/Lyra's house & show it to them & then you get a necklece of sorts made out of them & an upgrade (star) for your trainer card...you only get 2 to 3 of them prior to going to Kanto & where they are are based on your Pokemon's Nature...

Consult the HGSS Walkthrough on this site or another to find this out or if you battled him in GSC...his team remains the same...

In D/P/P a lady in Sunyshore would give your Pokemon an Effort Ribbon if they had all of their EVs. Is there any equivalent in HG/SS to tell if your Pokemon have been fully EV trained? Or do I have to count?

I think I remember there being some lady by the Safari Zone (right off of Cianwood City). It's one of the people under the tent-like things, I just can't remember which one. And yes, I'd also like to know where to get a Seal Case.

You get it after feeding the Miltank Oran Berries at the Miltank Farm.

I think it came out to seven.
I'm re-playing through Gold right now, though, so I'll confirm this in a couple hours.

For catching Latios at night, should I be throwing Quick Balls, Fast Balls, or Dusk Balls? Or are all of those equally effective?
