Always Charmander. Bulbasaur sucks, and Squirtle isn't bad, but Charmander is the best.

& he does not suck now come on...oh & I'm not choosing Bulbasaur because he cleaves the first "three" gym leaders of the gym challenge...

I always chose charmander, because people said it was the most challenging using it. it wasnt oh well. anyways, is a pretty cool pokemon, too, but perhaps im biased? i like grass pokemon, in general, despite many species being weak. lol. i always choose the pokemon that its said to be the most difficult to beat the game with I chose in my pearl version, but i wiped the floor with all the gym leaders, even the ice gym. perhaps a defense and hp EV trained torterra kicks butt, no? anyways, yeah, charmander was my fave.

I think the fire types usually have the highest attack or sp. attack, water is usually balanced, and grass was usually more of a wall or tank or annoyer. hoenn being the exception, in that one it specialized in sp attack and speed.

I usually take fire because I'm a pyro like that...
But as years went on, I started to like all three of the Kanto starters. My all time favorite though is .

agreed. fire rulez. course, the water pokemon trainers have the advantage cuz their pokemon can learn water and ice moves. they could take down fire and grass pokemon. :S

I choose Squirtle and usually prefer the water type because of their ability to learn a greater variety of moves (especially Bite/Crunch).

Charmander all the way. Squirtle is a close first and Bulbasaur, well, Bulbasaur just sucks. Well, in my opinion.

Bulbasaur for me. I hate most fire pokemon, and there are a lot of water pokemon I like more than blastoise. I'll admit squirtle's pretty cool, but not as cool as bulbasaur.

I went for Charmander when I played Fire Red. I think Charmander is awesome.

For physical aspects i chose charmander because in the end, a dragon looks much cooler than a turtle with guns and a...What IS venusaur?

Cyndaquil will always, always, always my favorite starter of the four regions combined. (I would not say that, because they will probably come out with a new series that will include one, I prefer)..

Tie between Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Though I do like Blastoise more than Venusaur, so I guess I'd say Squirtle then.

The first pokemon i've ever used is charmander, then that's my favourite kanto starter. There are a lot of many better water-type pokemon, and i don't really like grass-type pokemon.

Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are the best starters in all of Pokemon but Charmander is my favorite.
