i find that shadow and light would be the more likely of the three. but the two don't sound good together, light and dark sounds better no matter how badly over used it is. but something along those lines.

Crimsond I think is good but not Jade.

People seem to be leaning more towards a light/dark light/shadow kinda thing, but my friend thinks a crimson/jade one would be better. i dont have much of an opinion.

I don't reall see why we're having this convo, but I reckon out of the ideas that have come forward the whole Light - Shadow/Dark thing sounds best.

I don't really get the whole Crimson/Jade thing. Doesn't really work, and they're not exactly related to eachother, like for instance Gold/Silver, Red/Blue, Diamond/Pearl.
Following the theme of them being realted to eachother, and the hope that they'll move away from the whole colours/stones thing, Shadow & Light just sounds best.

i have to ask, how exactly do diamonds and pearls relate to one another? one is a form of compressed carbon (i think, someone correct me if im wrong) and pearls are made inside oysters.

Well yeah...but they are both a type of Jewelry & then you have Crimson/Jade with Crimson being a luxurous Color only & Jade being a Jewel as well but not as luxurous a color so they wouldn't fit as well together as the previous version name sets do...meh...whatever...

so it IS a color. perhaps not luxurious, but thats an opinion.

Light/Dark/Shadow seems like to most likely option to me. I can't think of any better names.

Day/Night (Light & Shadow) seem like the winning choice to me here...it has the most possibilities imo as well...

well, i suppose they cant name it quartz, or shadow, or light, or dark, or black, or white, or identity, or a whole lot of other names. hackers have been at pokemon games ever since red/blue/green/yellow. i seriously doubt what they name their hacks affected game freaks decisions much. but thats just my opinion.

Light and Dark is too generic. The others sort of still follow the themes of the others. I think it's time they move on to elements.

Pokemon Gold and Silver and Platinum were all elements. or does he mean element such as fire, water, etc.? if so, fire red and leaf green kinda covered that as well.
