Personally I'd rather have in-game teams placed here and battle tower be for competitive level teams.
Somewhat-belated Rhapsody edit: As would I. I think it's pretty clear that this is an in-game team, so it can stay here. I've deleted the "this should be moved" posts for clarity's sake.
Assuming your going to evolve them; Lanturn,Flygon, and Bronzong(w/levitate) would work good in typing with Arcanine Staraptor and Roserade.

You can catch Chinchou/Lanturn w/ the super rod on route 220 (be sure to get one with volt absorb and not illuminate.)
Flygon's pre-evolutions. Trapinch/Vibrava are found on route 228 w/ the pokeradar.

oke. I know where to find a super rod so that's oke. And If I want to use flygon in the elite 4 I've got an problem. this means I need another one for flygon but who? Gyarados??? It's realy strong.

The super rod is post-elite4 as well Gyarados is fine and pair him with garchomp as both of those can be acquired beforehand.

One problem I'm noticing is that the super rod can't be obtained until after the elite 4 so Gyarados woukld be a good choice. There is also sneasel which would add Ice/Dark to your team
