I'm getting SoulSilver because silver was my second game way back when. That and because i have a strange infatuation with everything related to silver <.<

I would rather have Soulsilver because of Lugia, but I'm going to try to get both because of Groundon and Kyogre.

I'll probably get soul silver first because silver was the firse second generation game that i got, and then if i feel the need to i'll get heart gold.

Also to the people that are saying they will get ss because of lugia or hg because of hooh, you do realize that you can get both in each game. I think that the only legendaries that are version exclusive are kyogre and groudon.

I'm getting Heart Gold. Mainly because my brother is getting Soul Silver and we usually get the counterpart to the other. He had Pearl and I had Diamond. So it's only a logical reason for us.

Souls silver is my choice, and not because of lugia, but because I need the donphan, and I like the selection on silver better than gold.

but on a different note, wasn't it awesome how you could catch gastly so early on in the game? he was my first catch in silver, and I taught him thunderbolt, psychic, hypnosis, and curse... beautiful.

I'd Choose any depending on the version exclusives, like someone said earlier.
But I'd take the one with Larvitar and Dratini for their evolved forms.

I'm so torn on this one. Back in the day, I had Silver and I think Lugia is an infinite number of times better than Ho-Oh (still love Ho-Oh, but I like Lugia better is all), and so I want to get Soul Silver for more nostalgia. At the same time, I want to get Heart Gold so I can see what the other half is like. Also, a friend of mine told me she wanted to get Soul Silver badly and that we have to get both games between the two of us, and I guess I should do what she wants because it isn't that big a deal. I think for now, therefore, I should plan on getting Heart Gold.

I'm going to get Heart Gold for three main reasons:

1. Everyone else is getting Soul Silver (I like to stray away from the crowd)

2. I prefer the version exclusives for Heart Gold

3. My cousin usually gets one edition, and I get the other one. Sofar I've always chosen first, so I thought I'd let him chose this time 'round, seeing as both Lugia and Ho-Oh are awesome! (He chose Soul Silver)

I agree with you there, I heard that the HeartGold exclusives are better than the SoulSilver ones.

I was planning on SoulSilver just for Groudon(I hate Kyogre), But when I remebered I have one on Diamond I was gonna get HeartGold like I first planned. But I NEVER seem to buy the version with Arcanine in it though...

Also main HG reasons:

• Ho-Oh


• Never got to play it. Even though I have both, Gold can't keep a save file.


• I usually always end up with the first game in set (Diamond, Red, Ruby though I got Leafgreen.)


• I tend to get games the *usually male* character is in.


• I just wanted to get it because my friend will probably get SoulSilver.

SoulSilver, because I pre-orded it and it'll match the fact that I'm gonna play it on a Silver DS Lite.

Ho-oh is overrated, Soulsilver is the way to go,

I'm not sure if i can remember on Gold, that Lugia lvl 70 , had Aeroblast... i could be wrong

But aeroblast is my favourite move, with its High critical hit ratio, awesome

I reckon if you want say Soul Silver for Lugia or Heart Gold for Ho-oh, i think its better to get the opposite one because if you get Soul Silver (like me:)) then you get Ho-oh at a later time (when you get the rainbow wing from pewter city) then Ho-oh is at level 70 instead of level 45 like Lugia will be.

I got Silver when I was younger so I'm gonna get SoulSilver again just so I can compare how it has improved/unimproved.

EDIT: Now I'm getting both because my mom's getting me one for my birthday and I'm buying the other. So I pre-ordered both!!!

Okay, I voted for Heartgold but should get Soulsilver since I ususally get the version in the remakes that is a remake of the version of the two I didn't obtain in the past(in this case, Soulsilver). But even if you add the fact that I like Soulsilver's exclusives better I going to go with Heartgold cause I plan to get both anyway. Might as well in this case go with the one I already obtained the previous version of(in this case, Heartgold).
