i wanted to know how many people r buying the game. yesterday i asked 18 of my friends from school and on my street, they all voted for soul silver.

I am going to say Heart Gold because Ho-Oh is so awesome and u got to love him but I think I am going to get both when it comes out=D

Most likely both, but if I could only get one of them, I would get HeartGold so that I can later catch Lugia at level 70 (it might be harder to EV train, though. I don't care anyway).

I'd get Heartgold, just because I had Gold version when they first came out. Also, I'm automatically biased toward Fire-type pokemon.

Eh, I'd probably get SS to get Lugia at 40 so I can EV train him more casually. Plus Lugi would be more useful to fight the Pokemon League with. Being Ice and all...

Well legend wise it will not matter(You do know lugia/ho-oh are available in each version)...I'll get both. Two notched eared pichus, plus reset for Giratina eggs on one game. And to reset for the hoenn legends although I can migrate, I need good IVs for Groudon and Rayquaza.

I want to get SoulSilver but it isn't so much that Lugia rock its more along the lines that HeartGold sounds feminine though personally I'm a Ho-oh fan

Lugia is Psychic/Flying type... I'll probably get basically whichever one's cheaper whever I buy it (for some reason one version's always cheaper) although preferably I'll get Heart Gold just because it's the first technically of the two and I'm OCD like that. |

I'm going to go with Heart Gold purely for nostalgia. Gold Version was my second Pokemon game (preceded by Yellow), and was my first time exploring the lands of Johto. Man, I'm jazzed because of this. I once sent a letter to and got published in an issue of Nintendo Power magazine reguarding remakes of GS in 2006 after FRLG came out. Jeez. How many people are hardcore enough Pokemon Gamers to remember how huge Gold and Silver Versions were?

Definitely HeartGold. When G/S first came out, Gold version was the first one I got. It was also the first Pokemon game I've ever owned. Though I did get both...I might get both new versions, too, but they're so expensive now and I have no job. xD
Generation II is my favorite, too. When I first heard the news, I was so excited! Ahh! I can't wait to use Totodile again! |

I would go with silver. My first ever pokemon game was Blue, so when FR/LG came out, I was so disappointed that they made LG instead of a Blue remake. So Silver was my first between Gold and Silver. So i'm for sure going with Soul Silver

SoulSilver for me.
Silver was the first GSC game I got and preordered (thanks to my mum). I got a special Lugia coin for it.

It seems the trend appears to be that most people desire the revamped version of the one they originally bought. Of course, this only applies to people who have bought G/S.
And I as well follow that trend, as I plan on buying Soul Silver since I had Silver version. :p |

SoulSilver, for memories (Silver was my 1st Pokemon game!) and a level 70 Ho-oh!
Lugia is lame, there are WAY too many Psychic type Legendaries. _________________ These past years have been great, and this community was a great one. Key word being was. I'm getting SoulSilver. Silver always was my favourite, and Gold was my bro's fave. So he's getting HeartGold so we have both.

I'm going to get the one with the version-exclusives I plan on using, but we can't tell till it comes out. I played Crystal, so I'm not biased towards either. I don't really care about Lugia or Ho-oh, as I never do Uber battles anyway. Perhaps you can get both, like you could in the originals...
