While searching for Unowns in my Platinum version, I noticed that one of the caves in the Solaceons ruins has a blue aura within it. When fighting Unowns in that cave, the battle background is also a lighter blue. Can anyone tell me why this is? Thanks.
I do not know if this is Platinum exclusive, or if it's also in Diamond and Pearl.

When entering the ruins, follow this path:
Top Right
Bottom Left
Top Right
Top Left
Bottom Right
I just checked Pearl, and while there is no blue aura the battles in that room have a slighter brighter background -- just like in Platinum. It's very intriguing.

Does this cave have Unown inscriptions at the top? If I'm not mistaken, that is the bottom cave. However I am very likely to be mistaken, unfourtunatly.

No, only the first and very last caves have an inscription in them. The cave I mentioned is near the last, but it is definitely not the last.
I can find nothing out of the ordinary other than that it has a blue aura (Platinum) and that the battles have a slighter lighter background color. Maybe the gamemakers were being stupid (the cave directly across the hall from this one is slighter roomier for no apparent reason . . .).

I noticed it too, and I've been pondering that for a long time since I first saw it.
Something in the back of my mind tells me it has something to do with the depth of how far down you go into the caves. The deepest room is probably the darkest.
And another thing, how are all these caves lit when there are no lights or torches? It makes no sense! -/
