No, I couldn't find a code on the internet, unless I'm not searching correctly. Like I mentioned before, I just found the one that erases items in the Key Items bag.

I tried the code that you generated for me, sadly it didn't work. I appreciate your help though, thanks a million. I guess I'm screwed out of the Key Items bag, hah.

That's weird. Sorry. :(

(You did try pressing L and R, right?)

Actually at first I forgot I had to do that. Then sometime in the mix I did press L + R...but I'm not too sure if I did it the right way. I'll try again and let you know. Again, thanks so much for your help.

I DO NOT trade/battle competitively with Pokesav generated Pokemon, nor do I endorse cheating of this nature.

Volke wrote:
So, when a person uses the "shiny in wild" cheat, the Pokemon's ID is changed, so that it would be shiny, but because of this, the Pokemon's ID is different from the Player ID, therefore proving that it's illegitimate? Am I right?

Just wondering, but does Pokesav bypass this?

Think of this type of shiny-ness being only an overlay. Although the game displays the Pokemon as being shiny, it will not pass legit-testers if you simply check the 'shiny' box in Pokesav. However, a PIDIV program from the same makers of Pokesav generates legal, shiny PIDs based on your TID, SID, a set of specific or non-specific IVs, and a nature value. It's a simple DOS program, but does the job.

Using the 'All PKMN are Shiny' cheat -potentially- changes a Pokemon's nature, gender value, ability (if there are two), IVs, and possibly region algorithm. These qualities are ingrain in its PID. You won't be able to tell, however, because you don't know what attributes that same Pokemon would have had without the cheat. Only way to see this in effect is to create a non-shiny Pokemon still in an egg, note down it's nature and such, then when it's about to hatch, enable 'All PKMN are Shiny' and you'll notice shiny-ness, as well as a nature change, thus IV-characteristic change.

Here's the code you'll need:

All wild PKMN are shiny (inc. Eggs) [R+A = ENABLE and L+A = DISABLE at Trainer Card]

Code:

A normal (not shiny) Pokemon's PokemonID has only 0's and 1's in it. A shiny Pokemon's PokemonID has only 0's and 2's in it. Normally, the all shiny cheat just makes a Pokemon shiny, without taking the 1's and making them into 2's, but this code (which I actually don't know) makes the game get more PIDs until it gets a shiny one; one without 1's.

Programs like pAC check if a Pokemon's PID is a proper shiny PID. If it isn't it'll tell you it's hacked. However, since this code DOES make proper PIDs, pAC can't tell, and the only person who would know it's hacked is the person who hacked it.

Shiny PIDs and normal PIDs carry specific values ranging 0 through 9, and vary in length. Ex: 2794401015, 646950135, 148865703; shiny Modest, Timid, and Adamant respectively. As far as I can tell, there's no tell-tale sign that a PID is shiny, nor do parallel shiny and non-shiny PIDs exist (Eg., two PIDs differ by substituting 1's with 2's) because IVs are a MAJOR factor in a Pokemon's PID, thus potential shiny-quality.

Man, I wish I were a programmer so I could explain it better. Lol, I'm hexadecimally-challenged.

Also, I can't be sure if a shiny code which calculates legal PIDs in game could exist -- there'd be an infinite limit on how long the game would potentially need to 'load' before a wild battle could take place. Easiest way is to use a PIDIV or similar program I mentioned in response to Volke.

Yes, definitely. It will increase the longevity of the game, despite what people say. You will actually get more out of your play time, rather than spending countless hours doing monotonous egg runs, and the alike. If you're like me and found -in game, not wi-fi battles; I in no way endorse cheating in this way- PBR a snore-fest prior to the glory days of AR codes, then AR is the device for you.

Another thing, if you're interested in programming, watching values change, construing what makes them change, etc., is also fun.

I can't remember exactly how it works, but theres something in a shiny PID that makes it different to normal, non-shiny Pokemon. Normal shiny codes leave this the way it is, and just make it shiny, but this one puts the different numbers in. You're right about it taking a long time to load, maybe I have it confused (most likely!) :P.

It's really interesting, right? To see what a string of seemingly random numbers produces. My guess is, IVs control shiny-ness, which is why you have to tinker with them to produce different PIDs, in search of that elusive shiny one.

I suppose some wizz-bang programmer could set a limit on how long a game searches for an appropriate PID; a max 3 seconds, for example. I s'pose that would create a 'legal' shiny cheat, as far as hacked shiny, Pokes go.

Oh, and, Patchy, thanks for the cloning code; it's so convenient! No more logging onto the GTS, depositing, turning off at the right time, etc. A gold star to you, my friend *sticks on your forehead* ;)

Yeah, all coding amazes me. A bunch of brackets and numbers make such amazing things. :p
Shinyness was controlled by DVs in gen II, but now its something like, two of your ID numbers and two of your secret ID numbers are xored(sp?) to create a number between 1 and 65535; if the number is less than eight, it's shiny, but PID has something to do with it. Maybe the numbers are part of the PID. :o

And no problem, lol. I know how it feels to have to wait hours in the GTS. =P
*Gold star to Sinu* :P

You might be onto something! :) I Just discovered a big, long explanation on Pokesav about PIDs and IVs, but looking at it makes my brain hurt.

I can't wait for PokeMod! It'll take away all the hassle of those little, annoying things you still need to change in a Hex editor - hopefully *coughtrashbytescough*.

Hey, guys, I have a few questions. Maybe they will sound very dumb, but I'm new to this, so excuse me.

Since I only think about cheating on Pokémon Diamond, I decided to purchase a DS Action Replay Ultimate Codes for Pokémon, instead of a regular Action Replay. My questions are:

1) Do Action Replay codes work on the DS AR Ultimate Codes for Pokémon?

2) Are there codes for every single Pokémon? Like, if I want a wild Chikorita to appear, is there a code for Chikorita?

3) Are there any safe codes, that won't destroy my game? As in, codes that you can select from the device, instead of those you find in the interwebz?

4) When you guys say cheating devices screw up your game, do you mean literally the game, or also the cartridge, making it impossible for you to play again?

Thanks in advance. :)

1) theyre both made by the same company, so I'd guess yes.

2) Yes. Usually your AR will already have these codes, so all you have to do is find the Pokemon you're looking for. If not, don't worry; the codes aren't too long anyway.

3) most codes are made in generally the same way, so the only danger is someone giving a code that they made be hitting their number pad randomly.

4) As far as I know, codes CANNOT do anything to your game. The worst that ever happened to me was my ruby's key item pouch freezing the game every time i used it, and nothing bad has ever happened to my pearl.

:)

Hey guys, quick question, If I have a pokemon that is hacked(I got it over GTS) and I breed it with a ditto will the egg be considered legit or is there some way to tell that the parent was hacked?

There will be no way to tell if the parent is hacked from the baby/

You're welcome! :)

And finfan (from smogon?), the egg would be legit, but most people would take the egg as hacked if it was used for IV breeding. You could hack check the parent, but you can't tell if the baby is hacked either way.

Anyways, with respect to the PID - they've put in a PID Generator for those who care.

I don't like ARs or GSs either, accept for event items and items available multiple times in the game, like Full Restores and such, not like the 493 Master Ball cheat (the # balls u have = the dex # of the next wild pokemon you meet. but delets all other balls) or the Complete Dex cheats.

I have a question, are the codes for Diamond an Pearl the same? Because, my friend jsut go an Ar and has Pearl and Platinum, so has no Diamond codes, and Diamond is my main game. Are at least the Shaymin and Darkrai codes the same? I missed the events and already have Arceus.

I missed the event for Shaymin, so my hacked one from Diamond won't trigger the flower giver lady.
Is there an AR code for the TRU version of Shaymin, or do Shaymin codes from Pokesav work?

P.S. I saw the TRU Shaymin code on page 3 of this thread but it was labeled (Japan), so I'm not sure if that is the correct code for my U.S. Diamond/Platinum.

Well, this Shaymin's English. I used it myself and it works perfectly fine.

One thing. Keep in mind that it's meant to be used in D/P. The guy who originally posted this didn't know if it's compatible with Platinum. I used Diamond.

This has nothing to do with donating cheats... It's more of a question. I'm contemplating getting an AR DS to use with pokesav to get 95 of each TM and 999 Rare Candies.. That's it! I remember what my AR GBA did to my Pokemon Emerald and Firered ( I used unlimited TM's in my Firered and it totally raped my game... I used low-game time in Emerald and it changed my secret trainer ID)... I don't want it to happen again...

As long as you know how to work it, you should be okay. Sometimes if you mess up the ARDS output part, you could be looking at random problems like having a party with 0 pokemon(the game freezes when you open up the pokemon thing, but it lets you withdraw pokes still. This is a great way to get rid of eggs in your PC).

Overall though, AR is pretty safe for your game. When you have a messed up pokesav code, your game just doesn't do anything when you try to run it, or it freezes your game, but in a few rare cases(you do try to do way too much at once or play around with things that you shouldn't) you could get a bad problem. Just try and stick to the basic functions, or try to watch a few tutorials on youtube and you'll be okay.
