I've been resetting my game for a week, and I still haven't gotten the Shiny rayquaza. Does the dry internal battery have anything to do with this, or do I just have really bad luck?

Internal battery won't affect it, you just have to keep going. A week's nowhere near enough.

Okay thanks. Looks like it'll be a while, too. So I'd better get started!

You've probably only done it a couple hundred times where the chances of finding a shiny are 1 in i think 8012 (its around that but im not sure of the exact number).

The chances are 1/8120. I'm still working at it, though. I didn't know because I've heard that some people can get it in 2 or 3 days. I guess I just have to keep at it. I think I'm at around 300-350 resets. Thanks for the advice!

It's 1/8192 and that's cause they were lucky

Where does it say that. You are able to get a shiny version of every pokemon.

I am in the process of EVing it, and I'm almost finished. Believe it or not, it'll be the first Pokemon I've ever EV trained on my Sapphire. It's not as easy as I thought it would be!

What do you mean by resetting? Do you mean resetting the whole game?

Nope. He means soft resetting, which I THINK is A+B+L+R. Haven't played Emerald in a while.

I think that's the one for Sinnoh. In Hoenn, if it isn't that, it's A+B+Start+Select.

It's always been A+B+START+SELECT no matter what system (portable). But congrats on the shiny Rayquaza, too. I love that it changes colors so drastically. I also like shiny Charizard. They both turn black .
