i would shield the door mith my matress and then grab something hard like... my tv or gamecube and smash it over the head. if that didn't work i'd smash the window and jump out. (my room is in the 2nd floor of a 2 story house so..) at least if it happened now id have lots of snow to cusion my fall.

Ever since I watched Dawn of the Dead I've been prepared for this eventuality - I have a (wooden... blunt) sword next to my bed!!

Zombies brains are only semi rotten, enough for their humanity to have gone, but not enough for basic functions to go, such as eat, throw large objects, and break down walls!!
Fire wouldn't be a good weapon, zombies can't feel pain and could probably live about a minute longer, in which they could catch you on fire, either eat you alive or just infect you, burn your house down, and maybe get some of your family. Fire is a big no-no. However, cutting off is legs and hands would be amusing, so you can watch it squirm and flail it's arms!!

Since zombies only walk I'll corner myself first then when the zombie is near,I go run left or right , it depends on the space. Then go out the door.

Not all Zombies walk. Angry ones, and ones with less rotten muscles run. Sometimes they have broken ankles, and have to walk to aviod falling over - they make disgusting scraping noises then!!

I don't have any weapon in my room but i think i will take some of my blanket and try wraping the zombie or cover its eyes so i can go to the kitchen to take knives and stab it.

Well, First it would actually have to get to my room, and My room would not be the first place I would go in the event of the zombie attack, I would probably go downstairs and grab my rifle. It's just a light 22 calaber, but it's semi-automatic, and might do just enough damage, presuming I hit the zombie in the right spot.

As far as my room goes. I Have a bookshelf I could easily tip on top of it, That would probably buy me enough time to escape, but I've also got a bunk bed, that would be hard to tip over unless I was on top, I also have my swiss army knife, which I carry everywhere. Though I don't fancy the idea of knife fighting a zombie. I also have an old dos computer and old monitor. those are heavy, and If I could drop it on the zombie would probably do some damage.

Future improvements to my home defense are planned. When I move away from home I plan to apply for a concealed carry license and pistol training. I've also heard that a shotgun is good for home defense, it has relatively low penetration if you're using the right kind of shot, so It wouldn't be going through walls and hitting people on the other side, and it also has wonderful intimidation, even in low light, in many cases there's no need to fire. (If you were a crook breaking into a house, and you heard the distinctive action of a pump-action shotgun, how many seconds would it take you to get out of the house?)

Of course a Shotgun would also be the ideal weapon to fight a zombie, so that obviously makes it an even better home defense weapon. :P

And CJ, if you don't know, look it up! Chuck Norris

Since I got a case of knives from my deceased grandpa, I could bust open the case on its head then scrounge up a knife and stab it in the head many, many times. Or stab its knees so it will fall on the ground and I will continually kick it for fun.

This topic says about resident evil, now what your saying is dawn of the dead but in video games in resident evil all of the zombies only walk. Now if you see a creature that you even think it's not a human,it's not a zombie anymore. It could be a licker, dog, beast or a human infected to G-virus.And the zombies talking about is a human turned to a zombie which infected with a T-virus.

i have 3 ways to get rid of him:
1.get out of the window and lock it afterwards.i have a tree outside the window, so escaping wouldn't be difficult.
2.lock the door
3. if i don't have my door key(which would be most unfortunate)i would have this er... weapons in my room:
-a screwdriver.i'd just poke its eyes out(don't know if i can manage that)to blind it and have more time.
-a...sharp pencil.after i got its eyes out, i could try poke the pencil in its brains.
-an umbrella! feel the pain...
-ok this is mad. if a zombie got in my room i would have been hopelessly overpowered.

I've gone over this several times in my head, and I'm pretty much safe - I've got the main sliding wooden door that serves as the main entrance. Then there's a gigantic window through which I can see my back yard. Also, my room used to be the study, so right above my bed is a loose window-door with slits in it that leads right into the kitchen - that would be the main exit if anything tried to break in, since I can hop through it very easily as long as I don't trip over the sink. Of course if that was blocked off, I'd have to grab my piano bench and just ram through it, hopefully smashing it against the wall.

How fun! :D

Well I would either grab the trusty tuba...

Image

or the trusty upright bass...

Image

or the trusty bass guitar.

Image

All of which are in my room. I would probably reach for the tuba. It belongs to the school and it would probably do the most damage. The bass guitar is a possibility. Maybe my other one is, I like this one better and it's heavier.

That's a simple one. For anyone who has ever played Counter-Strike (ZM), I'll simply pull out my M4 and barricade my door with tables, vending machines, and and any other object around me.

Seen the Resident Evil ZOMBIE REPELLENT t-shirts with the luminescent green shotguns on them? Well... I don't have one, so probably just run and scream etc. Yeah, lame; just look for me at the back of the extra-fest on RE movies as the zombie that goes "Guuurgh!".

Well I have a lamp that gets hot pretty quickly, and lots and lots of paper that I draw with, and according to the latest One Piece anime, zombies are afraid of fire...

I that didn't work, I could break apart the body with my five foot walking stick, or sneak into my sisters room through the shared bathroom.

Or I could jump to the garage roof from the porch room just outside my window. Zombies can't jump, can they?

I sleep with a baseball bat and a poking stick.

I wonder what it would feel like to chase a zombie?

Slow.

I would probably straighten his face and tie him up with the wire whilst reaching for the chair to beat him round the face a few times.

I actually have a variety of wooden weapons. homemade. not sharp. i would probly throw a blanket at it and then grab my wooden katana and/or dagger and start whacking away like crazy.

Even if this topic was previously necro'd, I doubt that it really matters considering that it's about zombies anyway. And because it's about zombies I feet compelled to post in it.

I have swords in my room. Two of them. And depending on the number of and length of the zombie's arms, I might be able to get in a good swing to lob its head off. And barring that, perhaps I can remove said arm(s) with them? Then go for the head. Yesss.

Of course, once the head's down it's essentially harmless, but you can't let a "live" zombie head just sit there and wait for some idiot to walk by and pick it up (because zombies' heads are still alive after decapitation! It's the brain you gotta go for). So depending on my mood, I might a) stab its head, thus destroying the brain, or b) attempt to lift the 27" CRT TV (it- it has no easy-grab points, okay?) and drop it on the zombie's head, effectively crushing and destroying it. Then I'd get some gloves and wipe all that mess up and disinfect the dang place. I highly doubt that rotting flesh is very safe to keep in the carpet. :O

If it's some super-long-armed / tall zombie (I'm kind of short, so reaching this one's neck might prove difficult), I'll try my hand at throwing my knife into its skull. Barring that, out the window I go! Not easy to do in my room, but I'd probably make it in the frantic rush of "OH MY GOSH IT IS A ZOMBIE RUN".

man zombies are cool

i think it needs to be noted - because i'm not sure if it has - that fire is NOT a good way to get rid of a zombie. if you've read the zombie survival guide, you'd know the only thing worse than a zombie coming after you is a zombie coming after you while on fire.

but i'd be dead if a zombie attacked me in my room. i've got books, clothes, and a lighter. nothing deadly or even special.
