Mine would be dragon/fire because it would have little weakness (provided levitate as ability)

If you strike: Dragon/Fire. No resistances until Heatran came. Also Ghost/Fighting works, that has no resist.
If you are defending: Water/Dragon. 1 uncommon weakness (Dragon). Also Steel/Dragon with levitate would work.

E: Normal/Ghost. 1 Weakness 2 Resistances 3 Immunities.

Ghost and Dark. :o

Ghost and Dark together have no weaknesses, and Ghost and Fighting together have no resistances.
Does this make Ghost type the best? It might.

Dragon by itself has only one resistance and only two weaknesses, one of them being itself.
Does this make Dragon type the best? It might.

But what about Ghost and Dragon, together?
That's crazy. Then you get {giratina}.

What the best types are, are Pokemon whose types compliment each other. Putting most anything with Levitate makes it evil. A Poison/Dark with Levitate has no weaknesses. A Dragon/Fire with Levitate has only one weakness. Once again, itself.

Poison and Dark attacks are both resisted by Steel, but as for Dragon and Fire attacks? Together they too have no resistances. On their own, however. What if two types were combined to resist them? We know that Electric and Ice together have no resistances, but then we have its three dual-types able to resist them. Shedinja can't block either of the above combos, making it formidable in itself. Magnezone still gets you with Poison and Dark though.

All in all, I'd say that a good type compliment probably has either Levitate, a Ghost type, a Dragon type, or any combination of the three. What it is for sure, I can't say, but it's not beyond the scope of the future.

I was going to say {sableye} , a ghost and dark that I have in Emerald.

I would also like a Flying-Ground type, or a Dragon-Steel type.

Dragon-Steel ( {dialga} ) would have no weaknesses, the Steel half prevents poision, and stops the 2x damge of Ice and Dragon to the Dragon type half. The Dragon half prevents 2x damge of Fire on Steel.

A good team in D/P would have {dialga} and {giratina} , maybe even {sableye} .

I think the best mono-type is either steel with a heap load of resistances, electric with levitate would have no weaknesses or fighting with the most super effectives.

An Electrode using Magnet Rise has no weakness.
And since Electrode is normally only outsped by Ninjask, he can rule out the possibility of being EQ'd right off the bat.

Well, aren't fire-types weak against rock? Hence, a Dragon/Fire with Levitate would have 2 weaknesses. Nothing on the Poison/Dark.

Here is a chart you should all look at:

Click here or here or maybe even on my favorite pokemon:

The chart was made by me in paint. Please ask if you want to use it!
Enjoy!

Yes, which we needed because Psypoke totally doesn't already have a chart that shows all those relationships.

I'd actually remembered that a week or so ago but never added it to my post.

Yes, you are completely correct; Dragon/Fire with Levitate has two weaknesses.

Are there any actual Poison/Dark Pokemon?
Or Dragon/Fire?
Will Nintendo make any if they made a 5th (omg) series?
