I just a second ago ordered LG off amazon.com (thank god they had it in stock, new), not only because I never played either of the R/B remakes, but because this way, I don't have to rely on as many Wifi trades. I already had Sapphire and Emerald. Anyone else done the same thing? Or considering?

Until I got a DS, I was using LG as my primary; I did buy FR and Emerald for the sole purpose of dex filling, though. It was a happy circumstance indeed that I had them before I got Pearl; otherwise, I'd be doing the same thing as you're doing.

I always make sure I had enough money to get the main RPG pokemon games. I have no siblings or friends interested in pokemon, atleast enough to play the games, so I bought them all in order to not only fill the pokedexes, but also so that I could have two seperate files.

I didnt have too buy both my brother usally buys the opposite of what I have and we trade all the time

Before i got Diamond i only had Emerald.
Since then i got Sapphire and LeafGreen to help fill my pokedex.
i wish you could move more than 6 per 24 hour period .

I have Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Diamond. My fiancee has Pearl. So it is no wonder that my entire Pokedex is complete. With the exception of Shaymin and Arceus.

6 per game - at first, I didn't realize that you could port from each game every day, and it slowed me down considerably.

Me and a group of my friends bought 1 GBA game each, and we cycle through them, so we don't have to buy all the games for each one of us - It's turned out well, except some of my friends take a long time to get all the Pokemon they want, and I haven't seen my FR for about 6 months, and I still haven't got Emerald or Ruby... So yeah, Moral of the story: Don't buy games, get your friends to buy them, then lend them to you.

My opinion is it's just a waste of money. Luckily, I have a friend that has all the pokemon in his pc. I have only emerald and diamond.

i got a pre-owned copy of Leaf Green. Before starting the game again i had a look in the PC of the save game already there.
I found Charizard, Mewtwo, Dragonite and a Blastoise all level 100.
There were a few other good ones there too.

That's what my friend did. He got 50 shinies out of it!!

I'm not sure why someone would sell a game that they where that lucky on.

ive considered it, yeah, but still havent done it. i mean i dont mind trading off of wifi i think its fun and it gives me something to do. I dont own either fr or lg so it is hard to get those but meh. i dont really care. i have ruby and sapphire plus all the older games. im just missing lg fr emerald and pearl.

Oh, Pearl is definitely my main game....before Emerald was though!

Thank God that diamond and pearl has some of the "can't get it without other pokemon gba games" pokemon. Like swinub for example. Except that would be silly because it is already in the game. Ok, enough trash talk, shouldn't G/S/C have like a pal park for R/S/E? Then you can get lugia without a nintendo event thingo (I think).

I use Pearl as my main game and have at least one of every advance generation for trading. I really hate the "You must wait twenty-four hours" thing.

Fire Red, Emerald. I'm going pretty well. Nintendo had better make a sequel to gold+silver

Diamond was my main game, now it's Pearl. I use my GBA copies of Emerald, Fire Red, Ruby and Sapphire to fill my Pokedex.

I have firered, sapphire and diamond. Though on 2 occasions I've walked over to Blockbuster and rented Pearl for Dex-filling/grabbing TMs.

I had Emerald before I got Pearl (thank God) which was good because then I could get all the legendaries that don't need an event. I could also get a few pokemon from the gold/silver/crystal era because I completed Emerald rather quickly.
But I'm not really bothered about completing my dex, it seems to me as a bit of a wate of time

I totally missed the GBA generation so I'm buying them cheaply at my local game shops. *sob* why did I try to convince myself that I wasn't into pokémon anymore???
