Just wondering how many of you guys do these things. I think in order to competitively battle, you should at least know how to EV train. I made some guides to these things in case anyone wants to learn how. Links to them are on my signature.

Personally, I breed for both IV's and natures, and EV train.

I do all three. Breed for natures and good IVs, and then EV train.

I don't have the patience for IVs, but I have started Nature breeding, and then later EV training.

I didn't start that way, though. *points down* Lupus, my Jolteon, was only bred for his Timid nature, while Aquila the Skarmory and Andromeda the Ninetales are both also EV trained. The rest of mine are impure on all three counts, but I love them all the same. *hugs*

(Except for my Lucario, because spikes and hugs don't go well.)

I try to do all three, but I've only successfully done it twice. :/

I only breed for natures on things I'm actually going to use or when its important- I bred for a Modest Feebas. That makes sense.

I don't breed for IVs or EV train because I don't care. I don't battle competitively, so it would be a waste of time for me.

I do all three also, because I like the fact that when you do them successfully, it means the Pokemon is about as strong as it can get. Of course, it can be hard sometimes, but it's definately worth it.

Working two jobs, I don't really have much time for it at the moment. But yes, I do breed for IVs, natures, and train for EVs.

As long as you you know how to breed well, it is quite easy to get perfect (or good) IV's; natures are also not a problem. EV's are easy if you use the right items. So...yea I do them all.

Same here.
With the luck I have with IVs, breeding for them would drive me nuts. EV train and nature breed; that's all I really want.
How much bad luck, you ask? Getting an Infernape with a Defense IV of 31 and an Attack IV of 2-8. (All the others were 15-18 ish.)
What a waste of a Jolly T-Punch physical sweeper...

I don't pay much attention to IVs, but since I'm getting more into competitive battling, I think I'd better start learning how to breed for them. Usually, though, it's just natures and EVs for me.

Correct and Good IVs are probably some of the hardest things to aquire through Capture so Breeding for it is a lot easier cos the young get to inherit stats....that's why things are a lot easier when you manage to breed a high DVs ditto for better breeding next time. I breed almost any Pokemon I want that's not legendary to get the correct IVs and Nature and it's soooooooooo boring....it takes ages to get the correct one...sigh Luck plays too much a role here... :(

Natures and EVs only. Can't be bothered with IVs.

I only breed for moves, natures, and EV train. But if I get a Pokemon with bad IV's (example my Lucario with Blaze Kick and Sky Uppercut which has only 6-9 in Attack and 25-29 in Special Attack) will get me to breed for a better one. Most of my Pokemon have good IV's that I use in my party. (Blissey and Torterra I am unsure of as I never did check IV's.)

I breed until i get 29-31 IV's in the stats I want. Then I breed for moves and train.

I stick with EV and nature training. IVs don't play a huge role in competitive battling, in my opinion. Natures and EVs are the most important to me, and besides, I don't really have the time to breed for IVs, let alone natures.

Once you get the trick and the patience, things in your breeding program are likely to go well. Albeit, when you spend 29 days breeding for the 30-31 Speed IVs Naive Trapinch you're aiming to have, you get used it sooner or later.

But, yeah. I am so stubborn that I still breed for all three, basically because I have now little else to do other than that in my Pearl.

Yeah, i do all three of them. And i feel that all those days i spent to breed that perfect pokemon and then EV train it are really worth it... :D Of course, sometimes i may be really unlucky with IVs but i just keep trying. Because i always get the IVs i want eventually
