Can someone please tell me which one of these 3 is the best and why?

Also, if you had to choose between Ruby - Groudon OR Sapphire - Kyogre
which one would you pick and why?

Thanks.

If you wanted to you could add a poll for the 3, anyway,

{groudon}: Pretty good stats, higher Attack than Special Attack.
Can learn Swords Dance, which raises it's attack more than Bulk Up can.
Drought helps with it's Water weakness, but doesn't help with Solarbeaming Grass types.
Good Physical moves.

{kyogre}: Pretty good stats, higher Special Attack than Attack.
Can learn Calm Mind, which raises Special Attack and Special Defense. Which also helps with it's weakness.
Drizzle helps power up Surf and make Thunder 100% Accurate, though it doesn't help much when up against a electric pokemon or a {lanturn}.
Good Special Moves.

{rayquaza}: Pretty Good Attack and Special Attack, though it's speed isn't too good. 4x Weakness to Ices doesn't really help. But it is good as a Physical Sweeper or Special Sweeper.

I like Groudon the most out of those.

Most useful is probably Groudon, most 00berful is probably Kyogre.

Ok, RaichuLatias.
I'll do a poll next time.

But, isn't Kyogre's "Sheer Cold" better than Groudon's "Fissure"?

And can't Kyogre easily defeat Groudon because of the type weakness?
Unless Groudon goes first? (I don't know which one of them has the higher
speed).

As for OHKO moves, I don't use them, as they're too ineffective.

But with Groudon vs Kyogre . . . I've never pitted them together, but I would wager on whichever of them came out SECOND. If Kyogre came out second, then Drizzle with cancel out Drought, and Surf would pawn Groudon. But if Groudon came out first, Drought would stay in effect, Kyogre's Surf would be halved in power, and Groudon could use Solarbeam at will.

{kyogre} is the most powerful. With calm mind, surf, thunder, and ice beam it is VERY 00ber.

Fools, any of you who think {rayquaza} or {kyogre} are good are some how miss led. {groudon} is the most powerful of them all. I should know, I rule them. My mighty Groudon, Garoozis, can take down my sister's Kyogre any day.

Haha! Very funny... The only reason it can beat my kyogre is because it's 40 + levels higher than it... :P If they were both at level 100, then we shall see who is the strongest. ^_^ I prepared my kyogre for lanturn as well. He has earthquake... *insert evil laugh* ^_^;; Anyway, I would have to agree with paper. Both of them seem pretty even, really. The main thing is who would come out last in the battle. They are the one with the upperhand. But even so... would drought still have any effect on icebeam? It's an ice attack and can take down groudon easily too.

<font color=ACEACE>It is kind of a little know fact that Kyogre is the best. Since it is a single typed Water Pokemon it is only super effective against Grass and Electric. So if you have charge up CalmMind a bit it doesn't have any weeknesses.

So Kyogre has huge amounts of offense and defense. Personally, though, I think Groudon is the best, I think he could pawn anything that doesn't have SolarBeam and Kyogre. As for Rayquaza, I don't really like him, he is too vulnerable to Ice, easy kill.

But,

What happens if Groudon and Kyogre both come out at the same time
with each trainer having only Groudon or Kyogre in their party?

Do Drought and Drizzle cancel each other out?

And, at maximum speed and at maximum level, who is faster,
Groudon, or Kyogre?

<font color=ACEACE>Well it is very unlikely that someone would put EV's in Speed for Kyogre, maybe for Groudon though that is unlikely still. Also it is very unlikely that both there DV's in Speed are the same though if there Speed is exactly the same then a 'coin is flipped' or something like that. Even is Groudon does go first there is little that it can do to stop Kyogre's Surf, or if Drought is in play, IceBeam from killing it in one or two goes.

According to the Psypoke PsyDex, that is. It also says, however, that Kyogre has a max special defense of 416.

I don't think pokemon could come out of their pokeballs at the same time... doesn't a battle go like this?

Trainer A sent out Groudon!
Trainer B sent out Kyogre!

So... I don't think it would be possible for them to come out at the same time... As for Drought and Drizzle, they don't cancel each other out.

If you battle someone with a kyorge/groudon and you have one yourself, the pokemon that comes out of their pokeball last will have their ability last on the field, so...

Kyorge comes out first - Drizzle is activated
Groudon comes out second - Drought cancels out drizzle

That's how it works. If kyorge comes out second, then drizzle will cancel out drought and that will be the ability that will last thoughout the battle.

Yeah you're right. Don't forget Hail and Sandstorm also cancel it.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would go with all three and whatever other pokemon you want on your team. That's what I did and it gets me through everything ok.

I like them all the same... If I had to chose one as the best, I'd pick Kyogre, It has the least weaknesses and with Calm Mind tit's weaknesses don't really matter. I remember me and my cousin got into this arguement, and to decide who was better we battled.

ME-Kyogre
@Lefties
Surf
Ice Beam
EQ
Calm Mind

COUSIN-Groudon
@ Leichi Berry
EQ
Solarbeam
Slash
Bulk Up

Well, we actually battled 3 times, I won 2 out of 3 only lost one because Groudon pulled off Solarbeam in the first turn (groudon came out second) And we decided that Kyogre is better, only better when Groudon is not the opponent, and when they are opponents it depends on which on comes out second. So, there tied when fighting each other, but when not Kyogre is better.

Rayquaza has the highest Base Stat Total. I still feel Kyogre is best because 1)All his weaknesses are Special, which he gets Calm Mind to cover. 2)His attacks are mostly Special, which means he gets the Calm Mind boost. 3)Thunder runs off Special Attack. Kyogre's Drizzle+Thunder is better than Groudon's Drought+Solarbeam because Groudon's Special Attack isn't as high as Kyogre's.

Need I say more?

Rayquaza is the better of the three, because all weather conditions are canceled because of Air Lock (haha!! Beat that Groudon King!!) and that it has a much wider movepool and could pwn both Kyogre and Groudon. Need I say more??

Because that's straight from a member of the Elite Four, I'm taking the liberty to post also.

Rayquaza may still have Air Lock, but Ice Beam isn't affected by Drizzle so it would matter. One Ice Beam could KO it. As for the cancelling of abilities. Groudon still has Solarbeam. Even if Drought is cancelled out, he still has the ability to use it, it will just take an extra turn. And Groudon may still last out because Surf is halfed.

Rayquaza gets booted because of Kyogres Ice Beam, and Kyogre gets booted because of Groudons Solarbeam. Unless Groudons Sp. Attack sucks, Groudon would remain victorious.

Oh no? Maybe you forgot Kyogre has Ice Beam?

And you stole my line, the "Need I say more".
