Simon brought this up in the topic "Swampert Episode" but I believe it will fare much better as a separate topic, seeing as how the Swampert Episode wasn't that sad. I believe the saddest episode was "Pikachu's Goodbye" because it actually did make me cry when I saw it.

A Poached Ego. Period. I cried. TR fighting Tyranitar by their own hands, Arbok and Weezing watching, dramatic music, everything.

Pikachu's Goodbye did make me well up a bit. Probably the only cartoon to make me cry.

I have to agree with Frost on this one; A Poached Ego was definitely a tear-jerker. I didn't cry, but I felt like I would have if I were a few years younger. To be honest, I was almost cheering durring Pikachu's goodbye. Sorry, JBs ;P

Oh haha Jiggz. ;P

No, A Poached Ego is a really sad one, along with Pikachu's Goodbye, and even Bye Bye Butterfree. Yes Bye Bye Butterfree only because the poor guy dies at the end - yes dies, but 4kids didn't want to mention that. But Pikachu's Goodbye made me cry... then again I was what? 9 when I first saw it?

No. A Poached Ego was the one where a Pokemon Poacher was stealing a whole bunch of Ekans and Koffing, and then goes after Jesse and James's Arbok and Weezing with his Tyranitar. Team Rocket tell their Arbok and Weezing to free the Ekans and Koffing and escape while using themselves as shields to protect them from Tyranitar's Hyper Beam. It showed how much Jesse and James truly cared about their Pokemon. A very heartwarming episode, indeed.

The very trippy episode where the gang goes into Larvitar's mind was entitled "Address Unown." It was pretty well done for a regular old Johto filler episode.

I also cried when Ash was petrified when I saw the first movie for the first time again in four years. Yes, I'm lame like that.

You are so not the only one James! I did too and my mom gave me a wierd look... O_o Shen then explained to me why he was going to live. The series would basically die without Ash... then again I didn't notice that 5 years ago. Haha - I stoopid back then.

I cried at that too, even though I knew he would live. It was still touching seeing Pikachu trying to revive him.

Okay, OKAY... Pikachu's Goodbye made me tear up a bit, although I don't remember the episode itself very clearly.

And I was practically bawling when Ash got petrified. There, okay? It's out. All the Pokemon were crying.. I just figured I'd join them, you know?.. yeah.. that's it.

Never saw A Poached Ego, but don't worry, I'd probably cry if I saw it, since I love TR ^^

Bye Bye Butterfree I guess. I haven't seen too many episodes recently though, never have seen A Poached Ego.

Oh heck - I don't really cares if he dies now-a-days. Just back then the series would die with his death. The series today... it has kind of already died (No offence, but heck not too many people watch the anime anymore. I hardly get to watch it myself.).

I didn't think it was possible to cry while watching pokemon, unless it was from too much laughing at the retarded characters in the show.

I think for me it's a tie of A Poached Ego, the last 20 minutes of Pokemon The First Movie, and Bye Bye Butterfree......

I never cried during an episode of pokemon before. But I can say some were quite sad. I think Pikachu's Goodbye, A Poached Ego, and Bye Bye Butterfree were all sad. It makes me think... Will Ash ever see his butterfree again? I don't think so, but I could always wonder...

Hey, I was a kid when the series first came out! So of course I was sad when I saw the Pikachu episode and the Butterfree episode. Those episodes were during the first season. The Lavatar episode still was a little sad, but I didn't cry... Anyway, I kind of realize... I was 8 when the Anime came out and it's still running and I'm 15! How much longer can it go on?
