Then pick . Seriously, none of them are especially worse than the others (although I don't like ), so go with whatever one you like best.

Choose whichever you like most. However, because of Bulbasaur's Grass type and the types of the first 3 gyms (Rock, Water Electric), Bulbasaur may be the easiest starter for early in the game.

It depends on who you like. I picked Charmander 'cause I think he's awesome. All three of the starters can make it through Brock's gym (Charmander learning Metal Claw at level 14) So it's your pick

fro what I've read at different sites, makes the game easiest, is for veterans, and is for experts.

Go for female charizard, and if you can try for a jolly nature. Go through the game with it, then use it to breed the only competitive starter, bellyzard (Ok, semi competitive).

Since you like charmandar better, go for that. That is how I've always done it. Pick the one you like, and it is easy. I do fail to see the difficutly in this. I mean if a starter isn't good against a leader... catch another pokemon that would do good.

Pick because you like it so the leveling will be enjoyable to do and once it fully evolves to it becomes a force. I am fuly satisfied with my (the first pokemon leveled to 100) because he becomes really diverse especially in the FireRed/LeafGreen universe because of movepool and stats. Have fun with it.
