I was reading on another forum and there was a dicussion about trhe move splash. It was said by one person that he was using splash and the 1 time he used the move it said and it worked. Is that even possible? I thought that splash never did anything. Is this a true statement or was this person lying?

No it was used by magikarp and gyarados and it was splash. I'll find the thread and post the link.

hmm..I highly doubt it, if it did, it would say so in the move discription. Either that or be filed down as a glitch.

Well, I've heard that if you're underwater, Splash has an effect; it does some damage, but not a lot. Of course, you can only be underwater by using Dive, so it only works in R/S/E. So I think this guy's just lying.

It could be true, you never know.I mean, splash has to have some purpose besides being a move that sucks. It is probably just really rare.

No, I am 99% sure this move doesnt do squat. But appearantly there is a new use for it, to let noobs post lies to gather attention to themselves. This is a LIE.

Of course, Splash is useless and didn't do anything. This is a lie, or there's an error with his Pokemon rom.

Splash is useless. Face it. Well, it does have some entertainment value, and helps you to evade Pokemon in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but that's about it.

Lmfao, I am sure that they made that moveset purely as a joke. We all know that magikarp makes a great special sweeper with splash.

i'd suggest it be updated with life orb instead, but the recoil would be horrendous

Wait... I did remember having a level 7 magikarp in yellow using splash once while catching a pidgey because I never had the time to catch it. It did do minimal damage.

Splash will never attack, people.
You may be thinking of attacks that LOOK like splash, like Flail. If you have full HP, Flail doesn't do a lot of damage.
Magikarp learns Flail at level 30 and only in the Metalics generation on.
