The green flames coming out of Treeclimber doesn't do much. This shuckle, like all shuckles, is tough against special and physical attacks.

"Use rock polish!" Roxanne cries as Shuckle's rock becomes smoother and sleaker.

"Treeclimber, use Ball Energy!"


((All I can do iss continue attacking.)

Curses... now doesn't sem to be Ralph's chance for glory. He makes a careful memory of where the orb, is, however,s hould he ever need to return to it.

He then walks toward huis colleagues, expecting to depart with them.

{Tom}

"Now use rollout, Shuckle!" Roxanne yells.

After being hit by the energy ball, the small pokemon curls into a ball and rolls at Treeclimber. The impact is easy to brush off, for now.

((I'm going to fast forward you to Mauville. There's nothing else on the way.))

Tamson and the other grunt are out side. Instead of Team Rocket attire on themselves, they have casual clothes.

"Better for sneaking around in." Tamson says.

The three of you depart and after some time, you reach Mauville City. Tamson leads you and the grunt into the red light district where the casino is located. When you get to it, you find it filled with various games, flashing lights, "appealing" waitresses, and many other things that would keep a man with money coming back.

"Now look alive, you two." Tamson says. "Our contact is going to be looking out for us as well." He then hands each of you $222.22. "We are all going to go to a roulette table and bet exactly that much money on 22 black. Our contact will see this and ask, 'That's a pretty unusual amount to bet.' Your response will be, 'Not as unusual as my luck with 2's lately.'"

"Just do it again Treeclimber!"

((Chili is, by the way, invisible again and equipped on my person))

Ralph smirks, taking the money and walking towards a random table. He takes out the money, placing it on the table casually. "22 black." He says, pointing to the small black box.

{Tom}

Again the energy ball hits but doesn't do much. The same, however, can be said for Shuckle's attack. Still, the rollout is getting faster and faster. Straight-forward attacking will result in a loss. Better think of something else and soon.

{Ralph}

A man walks up to you and says, "That's a pretty unusual amount to bet."

Should you decide to give him the appropriate response, he will then tell you to get anyone who is with you and meet him by the craps table. By the way, it lands on 27 red.

((Um... Let's see.... I know!))

"Treeeclimber, use A se G ji I yt L hy I dh T df Y, followed by a S zc L gh A dg M , then aim a Leafstorm at it!"

{Tom}

The agility boost works to get out of the way of rollout. However, it is still coming at Treeclimber. But don't worry too much the slam attack seems to have brought it to a halt.

The leafstorm had worse luck, though. It was too powerful for Treeclimber to aim and now there are just random leaves all over the floor. Meanwhile, Shuckle jumps on to Treeclimber and wraps him up. You hear Roxanne yell for a toxic attack. If you do something quick, you could save him.

"Your foe's to close, Storm Leaf!"

Ralph hopes he remembers this right. "Not as unusual.. as my luck with 2's lately." he repeats, sullenly giving away that 222.22 to the person running the table.


((Assuming I got it right... I did actually recite that from memory ;p))

ralph waves to each of his cohorts, motioning for them to gather with him as he follows the man toward the craps table. Once everyone is together and settled, he's the first to talk.

"So, what information do you have for us?"

{Tom}

A wise move. The leaf storm is not as strong as the last one, but it manages to absorb the toxic chemicals. Now you have to do something about the shuckle that's attached to Treeclimber before another toxic attack is attempted.

{Ralph}

The contact looks at Tamson and says, "So far the operation is only having one problem. We are looking for a specific Magma emblem that we thought was in Verdanturf. Unfortunately, the covert operation was exposed and our agents had to turn it into a all out war. We lost face and did not retrieve the emblem."

Tamson stops him and says, "Mike, you were in Team Magma." He then pauses to tell the contact that he'll explain later. "I'm sure you must be familiar at least somewhat with Daniel Sannon. He's supposed to have been a well-ranked admin. Do you have any idea where he would be if he thought someone was after him?"

The contact is about to say something, but Tamson cuts him off. He wants to hear what you have to say first.

"Blade Leaf!"

{Tom}

The bladed leaves cut into the shuckle and finally take it down. However, not before it takes a bad poison attack.

Shuckle is then recalled and replaced with a nosepass.

((This is getting painfully long!))

"Treeclimber, use Ball Energy!"

{Tom}

((Well, it ends now.))

"Use explosion, Nosepass."

The green energy ball doesn't even make it to its target. A massive blast cancels it out and knocks out Treeclimber in an instant.

"Sorry, but since I still have one pokemon left and you have used all of yours, I win."

Tom just laughed. "Well that WAS a fun battle." Then he walked out the gym, looking for that man.


((daveshan...Where did everyone go?))

Daniel Sannon? Ralph (Mike) Remembered him well. They never really spoke personally, but Ralph saw him once in the hideout he worked in. Daniel had been big... really big. He wanted to know what these people wanted with Sannon, but, asking anything like that could seem... suspicious. Perhaps his answers would come to him.

But first... he needed to say something.

"Sannon? I can't really say where he would be, I mean... if I asked you where one of your regular members could be hiding, would you be able to give me an accurate answer? especially since i haven't heard anything about him in years...

I might have an idea, though. Do you think he's hiding in the abandoned magma base in Lavaridge? Or perhaps he's heard of your exploits and plans to take your weather-altering device... I think that could be plausible. He was a really firm believer in the magma ideals, or at least I think he was."

{Tom}

((No clue. Guess they don't want to RP anymore . Also, what man is Tom looking for?))

The streets of Rustboro City are quiet right now. Stores are closing and the last of the 9-to-5'ers are heading home. The park is still open, though, and so is the casino and the battle tent.

{Ralph}

"Hm... good point." Tamson says regarding the fact that you haven't had a chance to see him in several years. "I doubt he'd be in the Mt. Chimney base, though. That just seems too obvious. As for the weather altering machine, I doubt he would have known about it long enough to make a plan to obtain it. Maybe..."

"Ahem!" The contact chimes in. "Daniel's location is not the big problem. We know he does not have the emblem. Apparently, someone else found where ever he was hiding it. We think it may have changed hands during the battle in Verdanturf Town. So now it's anyone's guess as to where it is. The only reason we would want to know where he is now is because he is probably looking for the emblem, too."

Tamson frowns and says, "The only thing to do now is split up and help search for the emblem. We'll have to be subtle about it, though."

Richard dicided that he shouldn't do this right now, so he left the casino. He caught a glimpse of Tom and gave him a cold stare and went to see if the gym was ready for another challenger.

"Subtle? I can do subtle quite well." Ralph says, in a subtle nod to Chili. "Let's waste no time, shall we? Where should I go?"

Tom spotted the man and ran to catch up with him.

"Hello, sir." A man says as you walk inside. "I assume you are a pokemon trainer here to challenge Roxanne. Are you going to battle for skill or level?"

The contact looks at you awkwardly after seeing you nod at nothing and then says, "You'll be heading towards Lavaridge, since you'd know that area the best. Tamson, you'll be going towards Rustboro." He then looks at the grunt. "You and I will head to Mauville, since it's a huge city and we need two people to search it.

"I picked these areas because they are the closest to Verdanturf and I doubt that whoever has the emblem would stay there."
