Similar to the "slash always being a critical hit" thing (which also happened with me), whenever my jolteon used thunderbolt and the opponent survived, it would end up paralized every time. It didn't do that in yellow and stadium, just in my blue game. Did this happen to anyone else?

It's not a glitch at all; you just have really good luck. And Slash gets crts a lot because in RBY, crt% was determined by Speed. That meant Dugtrio was almost guaranteed to OHKO with Slash. But no, it's not a glitch.

Speaking of things that cause critical hits, both Jolteon and the move Thunderbolt have high CH ratios, so oftentimes Jolteon can OHKO even things that aren't weak to Electric with T-Bolt.

Since when did Thunderbolt ever have a high critical hit ratio?
As for Team Rose, DNA is right. You just have really good luck. I've use Thunderbolt without paralyzing the enemy before.
