Well TKK, he's probably busy with other stuff and can't see this awesome story. I'll just wait and find out for now...but now for the next chapter, by *popular* demand.

Chapter 11

_ Marshtomp decided not to stop at Westport on the way to Flight Island, but rather head straight there to save time. However they would have no choice but to stop, as Wartortle sighted numerous bubbles floating to the surface along with strange weather patterns.
_ “Sorry Marshtomp, but we’re going to have to head to Westport,” Wartortle informed Marshtomp.
_ “Why?” Marshtomp returned. “What for?”
_ “See the bubbling and winds up ahead?”
_ “Yeah…”
_ “That’s a sign that Gyarados are migrating through these waters. Most likely they’ll be sticking around for another week.”
_ “A week? This is horrible. We’ll have to go to Northport on foot if we want to make any progress.”
_ “That seems to be the case. Big stroke of bad luck, but sadly there’s not anything we can do about it.”
_ Marshtomp reluctantly submitted to Wartortle’s instructions as they took a northeasterly turn toward Westport, staying clear of the Gyarados. He felt rather disenheartened at this sudden detour, but Kadabra cheered him up. “We’ll get to Flight Island regardless of this detour. However because of this there will be a 2-day delay: two days over land, one day over sea.”
_ “Thanks, Kadabra. Hey…how come you know where the island is exactly?”
_ “The same reason you do…the stone tablet.”
_ “Oh, right.” Marshtomp suddenly had a flashback to the past serenity of his existence – the waterfall, the flowers, the secret hideout; it was all so vivid to him. Then Vincent broke into his daydream, and Kadabra had to shake Marshtomp to wake him up. They both cast their sights toward land, and the remainder of the voyage passed in silence.
_ They arrived at Westport mid-afternoon, and as they alighted Kadabra posed an idea. Holding up a map of the land, he said “There are two possible routes we can take. We can either head due east to Central Village, then head due north to Northport, which in all will take about 2 days. The alternative is we could cut half a day’s journey by taking a diagonal route across, however that will cut right through the swamp here. If we do that we might meet up with Baltoy.”
_ “No, Baltoy will be fine. He’s with Pelipper, and we don’t have time to waste. We’ll take the diagonal route. But wherever Baltoy is, I sure hope he’s fine.” This statement clearly expressed his confidence and straightforward decisions. Marshtomp, Kadabra, Baltoy…they were no longer mere children. The fate of their world, no, the fate of every Pokemon’s world rested on their shoulders.
_ Just then Wartortle trotted up behind Marshtomp, which rather surprised him.
_ “Ok, buddy, where to?” He had packed adequate supplies for himself and the two friends, neither of which had noticed their packs were missing until now.
_ “Thank you for giving us extra supplies,” Marshtomp returned, relieving Wartortle of their packs and hiding his surprise. “But you don’t have to come with us. You took us to King Island. You don’t have to stay with us any longer. We’ll find someone else to take us to Flight Island.”
_ “And what will happen if no one will take you?” came the response.
_ The Violet Avenger immediately recognized the potential outcome of this statement.
_ “Very few sailors would sail into uncharted waters. They have no guts; they’d rather stay on the land all the time, where it’s safe and storms do not rack their boats.”
_ “But the ships that set out, where do they head?”
_ “The majority are fishing ships. Besides, it sounds like you’re on some kind of quest. Are you a treasure hunter?” Kadabra thought he was asking that because of the sword.
_ “No, we aren’t treasure hunters. You see…”
_ Marshtomp related the entire story to Wartortle. How they lived in peace in their secluded village, how the Wyvern King completely obliterated the village, how the denizens of King Island came and ended up saving everybody’s lives…they told him everything. “And there are four islands we have to go to – one we just left, then Flight Island in the northwest, Element Island in the northeast, and Mind Island in the southeast.”
_ “Incredible…I might be able to fill in the rest of this map. You guys have put the wind back in me! I’d be glad to accompany you, even to the ends of the earth.”
_ “Thank you, Wartortle. Your company is most welcome.”
_ So the threesome departed toward the northeast, through the swamp. (Wartortle did not finish the map on his stay with the Avenger, but finished it while circumnavigating the land; he was the first Pokemon to do so.)

And of course, you guys keep reading.

Ta-Da!

Chapter 12

_ “Pelipper, why would the old heroes build a tower this big?” Baltoy asked. “Why not just build a village?”
_ “This tower is so huge, it can be seen from the ocean to the northwest,” Pelipper answered. “The most likely answer is that they wanted their monument to be seen. And the village built into the very tower is quite ingenious.”
_ Baltoy nodded in acknowledgement, as they continued up to the fourth floor of the tower. If there was someone residing every other floor of this tower, he thought, then the tower would have…(Fifteen floors!) Baltoy thought. (Climbing this tower will take a whole week! But I don’t mind, so long as I get stronger.) As Baltoy neared the fifth floor stairway, part of the floor shifted toward the large middle cavity of the tower, almost causing him to lose his balance. Fortunately he recovered and climbed up to the fifth floor. He noticed that Pelipper was just flying silently behind him, not even saying anything. He had a blank look that suggested his role was merely as guardian, but either way Baltoy was happy for it. As they ascended to the fifth floor, sure enough there was a dim light emanating from one of the two doors on the balcony. Baltoy entered, and a huge canine was sprawled half asleep across the cold stone floor. Its fur was red studded with black stripes, and had additional white fur around its head, legs, and tail, which the white fur covered in entirety. It spoke to Baltoy in a groggy voice, still half asleep.
_ “Can I help you?”
_ “Are you one of the old heroes?”
_ “You could say that. Who are you?”
_ “I’m Baltoy, and this is Pelipper. I’ve come to get vengeance on one who has obliterated my village.”
_ “So, you feel now the same way I felt then. And still I feel the pain. I still look upon that day, and think, What happened?”
_ Baltoy could tell the difference between this hero and Cloyster. This hero never let go of the pain he felt, while Cloyster merely shrugged it off and moved on, even though it was clear that that was the saddest day of his life, not because he killed his best friend, but because something else did. Baltoy felt it hard to believe that after all these years, this hero never got over it.
_ “Oh, I guess I should tell you my name. It’s Arcanine. Pleased to meet you.” Arcanine got up from his half-asleep position. At full height he towered over Baltoy and Pelipper, with a menacing look camouflaging his inner emotions.
_ “Pleased to meet you too. I want to grow stronger so that I can right the wrong done to me. But to get stronger, I must train…and I want to battle you.”
_ “Your confidence both shocks and impresses me. I accept your challenge. Prepare yourself.”
_ Before Baltoy could even move an inch, Arcanine sped right into him, sending him flying. Arcanine repeated the attack, leaving Baltoy spinning in the air. Fortunately since Baltoy was very much used to spinning, dizziness was not a problem. (So, Arcanine uses incredible speed to fight. What would be a way to defeat something so fast?) Baltoy saw Arcanine charging at him again, so he fired a Psybeam attack at his aggressor’s face. Arcanine flinched a little, but only a little, as he barricaded right into Baltoy sending him spinning in the air once more. Baltoy was feeling painful all over, yet Arcanine showed no sign of stopping any time soon. All Baltoy could do for now was dodge out of the path of the charges while he thought of a plan to win. As Baltoy lowered himself down to the ground, Arcanine came on again full speed. Baltoy managed to spin out of the way, but as he did so he stiffened his muscles a bit. He repeated this process several times, until he knew what to do next, and he was ready.
_ But he wasn’t expecting Arcanine’s next move.
_ Arcanine shot a giant Flamethrower straight at Baltoy, enough to incinerate him. Baltoy had no way of avoiding this. Suddenly Pelipper intervened in the nick of time, shooting a Hydro Pump at the attack, unleashing a great amount of steam. Arcanine then immediately repeated his charge attack toward Baltoy. Surprised by this, Baltoy suddenly acted out of gut impulse, carrying out his plan. Having stiffened his muscles greatly, he Rapid Spun right into Arcanine’s shin. Arcanine howled in pain as Baltoy used Mud-Slap right in Arcanine’s path ahead. Unable to cut his momentum because of his painful leg, Arcanine slid right onto the mud and straight into the wall, right on his head. He groaned loudly and his voice became groggy again.
_ “You’ve done well. Now, continue your ascent of the tower. You have many more trials to endure. And I have great faith you will conquer them all.” Right after he finished his sentence, Arcanine fell back into a deep sleep. Pelipper, thinking it wise to leave Arcanine alone, advised Baltoy to continue their ascent. And so they did. However, Baltoy felt somewhat uneasy because of the night before; he felt that his nightmares were watching him, setting a trap to catch him…

I haven't been working on the story lately (I really should start up again), but it's not a problem now because I've already whipped out 30 chapters (I just need to work on Mind Island and afterwards), so please, feel free to enjoy what I have now.

Chapter 13

_ There was a lot of swamp to walk through. Marshtomp eventually got used to it, but Wartortle had a little trouble breathing, and Kadabra eventually passed out from the noxious swamp fumes. They walked through the swamp as quickly as they could; after all, a swamp is no place for sightseeing. Not that they could sightsee if they wanted…they had a more pressing matter at hand. Suddenly Marshtomp grew impatient.
_ “Let’s run right through this place. I can see that none of us want to stick around here. So, what are we waiting for?”
_ Wartortle affirmed silently, following Marshtomp, who was carrying an unconscious Kadabra over his shoulder. However the swamp was much bigger than it seemed, as Wartortle passed out eventually. This was not good for Marshtomp; he’d have to run carrying two unconscious friends over his shoulders. In spite of the physical difficulty, he pulled it off quite well. Nor did the fatigue get to him. He was a Pokemon with a mission, a task, a destiny to fulfill. Nothing would stop him from accomplishing his quest. He continued running through the swamp, fueled by a power that drove him onward through the swamplands, unaffected by physical exhaustion. He ran, and ran, and ran…until he was running automatically. He paid no attention to time, nor energy, nor weight, nor the swamp fumes rising up from stagnant puddles dotting the landscape.
_ Very late at night, he reached the town of Northport, where the few remaining awake were finishing their night watches. As soon as Marshtomp stumbled into town, he instantly collapsed and fell asleep before anyone could say a word. That running had tired him out beyond all belief. But at least he got through the swamp, carrying both of his friends with the sword still slung across his back.
_ Almost immediately after Marshtomp passed out, Kadabra and Wartortle woke up to realize where they were, and what had happened: Marshtomp had carried them both out of the swamp, running all the way to this place. And now, the moon was high in the sky, and Kadabra and Wartortle were awake. Wartortle got himself a ship to sail west as Kadabra lifted his friend onto the ship with his psychic powers. Kadabra tried to wake Marshtomp up during the voyage, but it was no use…he was out cold.
_ “Let him sleep,” Wartortle answered. “He’s been through a lot today.”

I caution you: What you are about to read may shock and disturb you.

Chapter 14

_ After getting up to the seventh floor of the tower, Baltoy was feeling somewhat uneasy, even though he spins as he moves around. No, it was the thinning of the air that got to him. He tried to shrug it off, as he knew that those higher up than here had gotten used to it. He entered the next residence, but was surprised to find that there was no one inside. (No one home? This is odd…) he thought, as he went back onto the balcony and looked around for any sign of life. Suddenly, he heard something coming down the stairs from the floor above. The adrenaline rushing through him, Baltoy ran into the stone abode and hid under a small table. He looked around for Pelipper, but Pelipper had already disappeared and found a hiding spot; where it was Baltoy knew not where.
_ The stranger entered into the stone house. Baltoy was surprised to find out it looked not unlike a giant pitcher plant. Acting out of fear rather than courage, he screamed and propelled himself from his hiding place at the stranger, bowling them both over. Baltoy’s target was indubitably shocked.
_ “What are you doing here? Why did you jump me? And who are you?” At this last question the stranger’s voice took a considerably angry tone.
_ With impeccable timing, Pelipper glided in from the outside. “We are here to climb this tower.”
_ “Well, I don’t see why you would. There’s nothing of interest here.”
_ (Pessimistic, this one…) thought Baltoy. Aloud: “Oh, but there is. We have come here to train and learn the secret of this place. And you will be my third opponent.”
_ “Third? Why third?”
_ “I’ve already defeated your two compatriots on the floors below.”
_ “You? Pfft…There’s no way.”
_ Baltoy became ticked off at this remark, and said in an equally angry tone: “Would you like to try and prove that? Words aside, I’ll take you on right now!”
_ “Ha! Victreebel never loses. Prepare to get wiped out!”
_ Baltoy didn’t want to endure the shame of losing to such a jerk as Victreebel. As before, he would fight will all he had, plus a little more. Victreebel made the first move by lashing out with thick vines at Baltoy, tripping him up so he landed on his back as he fell down to the ground. Baltoy got up with Rapid Spin, bowling into Victreebel just like before, and following up his attack with Mud-Slap and then Psybeam. Victreebel was caught off guard but he didn’t lose his nerve. He came at Baltoy by firing several volleys of sharpened leaves all at ones. Baltoy was raked everywhere and then felt the pain to match it. Still he refused to give up. His focus came through for him…he unleashed an attack previously unknown to him. Rocks materialized from nowhere and began to hover about Baltoy, who hurled them with astonishing force at his opponent. Baltoy had learned the Ancientpower attack, but the fight was still far from over. Victreebel, irritated that Baltoy was still putting up a challenging fight, tried a different tactic. From his mouth, he fired a giant purple ball of sticky stuff right at Baltoy. It hit dead on, and Baltoy began to feel incredibly sick.
_ “Hope the Sludge doesn’t get to you…much! Ha! There is no way you can win against me!” Victreebel shouted triumphantly. “Time to finish this!”
_ Victreebel then advanced on Baltoy and swallowed him whole. Baltoy could barely see a thing, except for the small ray of light above illuminating the cavity. He felt the gastric fluids seeping in from small pores in the sides of the pit, gnawing away at his very substance. Is this how his life would end, being eaten by a disgruntled plant? If this was the way of his death, he might as well go out with a bang. Which is just what he did. He gathered all his remaining energy, and unleashed it in one devastating blast. The Selfdestruct attack blew a gaping hole in Victreebel, launching Baltoy forward out of it with astonishing momentum. Baltoy was still alive, but he felt incredibly drained.
_ Not much later he recovered, feeling better. He could not believe that Victreebel would try to kill him. He looked back…and saw fluids seeping out of Victreebel’s lifeless self. By blowing a hole in Victreebel, Baltoy had killed his opponent. He was once again worried. Was this to be another accidental death on his head? No…no, it was not so. He had not meant to kill anyone…until now. The Lombre in the swamp was merely knocked unconscious. The Cloyster several floors down merely winced at the injury, and he quickly got over it. But Victreebel had attempted to take the life of another. Had he become so embittered that he shunned all company, eliminating them if necessary? Or had this powerful object atop the tower somehow affected him, consuming his mind? Baltoy was sure it was the former. Victreebel did not appear tainted in the least. Yet Baltoy did not regret the death he just caused. (A life for a life…) he thought. Suddenly the nightmare creature flashed through his head again, and Baltoy’s steadfastness quickly morphed into worry again. Pelipper had seen the whole thing, and had understood Baltoy’s action…he would have done the same thing if he were in Baltoy’s shoes…er, predicament. Baltoy merely looked away and continued his ascent, with confidence unlike any other.

Then you don't pay good enough attention  .
And "GizoidOmega" is another nick I use on the chats (besides Bass), and that was an actual conversation with Kasey on the chats. And yes, I think I will enjoy this. Now, let me give you the next chapter.

Chapter 15

_ Marshtomp eventually came to, but he was not at the village of Northport as he had remembered. It was one hour past noon, and the trio were docked at a very strange island. There were three mountains bordering a trench on one half of the island, and a multi-terrain field encircling a mountain on the other half, the mountain appearing to soar into the very clouds. Marshtomp looked at his friends on the ship. They were obviously bushed, having to sail the ship through the night to get to this island. Marshtomp was very thankful for their efforts, and went on the island alone, carrying the sword, and letting his friends sleep. He couldn’t decide where to go first on the island, but eventually he settled on going to one of the smaller mountains, the one with thunder beating down upon it.
_ As he climbed the mountain, Marshtomp had to keep facing forward, as looking down would make him woozy, while looking up at thunderbolts would make him terrified – he had always been afraid of lightning storms. Even now…but eventually he would overcome it. When he finally reached the top of the mountain, he found it odd that the peak was flat. Looking above he saw a swirling thundercloud, loosing bolts of tremendous energy willy-nilly. Then he heard an ear-piercing screech. A large yellow spiked bird swooped down from the thundercloud and alighted on the mountaintop. It had black spiny plumage under the yellow plumage of its wings, and its beak was like a rapier.
_ “Who are you, who dares to trespass upon my mountain?”
_ “I’ve been told by Registeel to come here for something. What is it?”
_ “So you want the breastplate! And I see you are holding the sword!”
_ (Breastplate? What breastplate?) Marshtomp pondered.
_ “If you want to have it, I shall test your right to acquire it. Battle me, Zapdos!”
_ Zapdos swooped up in the air, and fired a massive thunderbolt at Marshtomp. Marshtomp did not offer anything as a counter; he was paralyzed with fear. But instead of affecting him, the electricity was directed straight into the ground through Marshtomp, making the attack completely ineffective. Instantly Marshtomp shrugged off his fear of thunderstorms, knowing now they could no longer affect him. Unfortunately, Zapdos was too far up to attack directly. Marshtomp tried using his Mud Shot but he couldn’t reach nearly high enough. He’d just have to wait for Zapdos to make a move. Good thing he didn’t have to wait long. Zapdos came down at Marshtomp, talons outstretched. Marshtomp parried with Mud Shot but it slipped harmlessly off Zapdos, who raked Marshtomp’s face with its curving blades. Marshtomp winced, but shrugged it off as Zapdos came down again. Pooling his power into his arm, Marshtomp lashed out at Zapdos’ vulnerable underside with the Regi Sword, swung at full strength. The power and impact of the blow caused Zapdos to spiral uncontrollably, finally finishing off lying on its side on the mountaintop. The gargantuan bird sprung up several moments later, with a sort of smile etched across its features.
_ “Well done! Now head to the volcano for your next battle, purple one!”
_ “That’s ‘The Violet Avenger’,” came the gallant reply. And with that Marshtomp descended down the mountainside while Zapdos soared back upward into its thundercloud abode.

Someone else voted 1 on the poll? n00b. No one could come away from my story and think it sucked, unless they were total morons. (If someone else votes 1, I am removing the poll altogether). But now for the next chapter.

Chapter 16

_ Baltoy was wondering again. What is this incredible object atop the tower? What powers did it have? And could it really turn someone evil and power-hungry? He didn’t feel like asking himself these questions, but he did, almost automatically, as if it wasn’t himself speaking. He shrugged it off, however, as he ascended to the ninth floor. When he emerged from the narrow corridor, he noticed something resembling a specter or apparition entering one of the doors. Was this tower haunted with the ghosts of those who died? Baltoy noticed two windows in the sides of the balcony’s wall – one looking toward the land, and the other gazing out to sea. Baltoy looked out at the landward window first. He saw almost the whole of the large island comprising the land. And looking down, he saw Perin, with all of the residents looking like ants. He found it stunning that already he was so high up. Baltoy then turned his attention to the seaward window, and saw a mountainous island far off in the distance. And, docked at the island…was that a small boat? He felt invigorated…he was almost positive it was his friend Mudkip’s ship out there. But, Mudkip said he was going to an island far in the southwest, while this island was obviously in the northwest. It might be Mudkip…no, it must be Mudkip. Who else would sail to an island like that?
_ After turning away from the spectacular views of the windows, he entered the room where he saw the phantom-like creature. Inside it became clear that this being was alive. It had a round head, with a sort of hairstyle, set with two large red eyes. Its torso was quite small, with two long, slender arms, and two red spikes: one in its front and one in its back. It seemed to be floating, as it did not appear to have any legs; rather extending from the bottom of its torso were two appendages creating the picture similar to a flowing dress. It was female, and had a voice to prove it.
_ “My name is Gardevoir. What brings you here?”
_ “My name is Baltoy. We’ve come to find out more about this tower.”
_ “Graveler let you up here? He has faith in you. There must be another reason you are here.”
_ “That’s right. We’ve also come to train.”
_ “Train with who? There is no one in this tower to train with.”
_ “Oh, but there is.”
_ “Who might that be?” Her voice was as gentle as ever.
_ “You,” Baltoy replied curtly.
_ “Very well. You’ve chosen to challenge me. Bring it on.”
_ Gardevoir made the first move and knocked Baltoy back with a powerful psychic attack. Baltoy was overwhelmed; she had so gentle a voice, yet utterly ruthless in battle. Fortunately since Baltoy was also partly Psychic, the full brunt of the attack was restrained. Unfortunately, Baltoy didn’t know how long he could withstand her attacks. So he decided to take the initiative. He led off with Ancientpower, which Gardevoir blocked with a psychic shield. Half-expecting that, Baltoy immediately fired a Mud-Slap after the shield was lowered, and came on again with Ancientpower while Gardevoir’s vision was obscured. Gardevoir went on the offensive again, attacking Baltoy with Psychic. Baltoy repressed it, and responded with his Psybeam, knocking Gardevoir back slightly. Gardevoir pulled out another trick from up her idiomatic sleeve, and lifted her arms high above her head. A dark blob began to materialize between her hands, and it was launched at Baltoy full force while she yelled “Shadow Ball!” Baltoy had gone through more pain today than he’d ever care to have. Instantly he flashed back to the old days in the village, where he always hung out with his best buddies, where he’d never have to think of fighting for what you believe in. Then he recalled how Vincent appeared, how Registeel and its companions saved everyone, and how Mudkip went off to meet them. He had to do his best for his friend.
_ Gardevoir advanced menacingly on Baltoy, the gentle soft voice nowhere to be found. “Now, this battle ends!” She began conjuring another Shadow Ball. Instantly Baltoy was filled with anger…an anger to protect his friends, an anger to never lose, an anger to destroy Vincent for what he had done. He screamed at the top of his lungs: “For the sake of my friends, I WILL NOT LOSE!!” Instantly Baltoy was enveloped by a white glow. He grew in size and shape. The two arms separated off from his body, levitating at his sides, and became more rounded at the base. The shape of his body changed almost completely. He looked like a giant figurine with two short legs, strange Q-shaped markings on his somewhat bloated cylindrical body, and a large elliptic head with eight eyes all around, tipped with a blunted point. From one of the eyes he fired a beam of pure energy, disrupting Gardevoir’s focus and blowing her all the way back to the wall, murmuring “Claydol” as she hurtled through the air.
_ As she rebounded against the wall, she said “I surrender, Claydol,” with the sweet gentle voice from before. “It seems you are strong enough to do whatever you may wish to do. Now go. There are two more of us up ahead, much harder than me to battle. But please, rest here a short while before going forward. You look exhausted.”
_ Claydol was indeed very exhausted, and took a couple hours’ rest before going on. Little did he know he was soon about to make the biggest blunder of his life.

Chapter 17

_ After fighting Moltres the fire bird at the volcano’s summit, Marshtomp headed for the next mountain, enshrouded constantly by a harsh blizzard. He couldn’t stop shivering as he ascended, but he had to shake it off and concentrate. (I still feel woozy from all those fumes back at the volcano,) he thought to himself. (But I need to get this over and done with. Then I won’t need to worry.) The climb took about 10 minutes, after which he found himself on another flat-topped mountain. Above him was a vast cloud of fog, which seemed to exude cold, and thusly the source of the blizzard. And, just as with Zapdos, a large bird appeared from the fog cloud. It was blue all over, with wide blue wings, a long flowing tail, and white plumage on its neck resembling a beard.
_ “Hm! You’ve done well to make it here! I am Articuno!” The beast screeched with the same screech that Zapdos and Moltres have.
_ “With all words aside, I don’t have much time to hang around,” Marshtomp answered. “Let us battle now!”
_ This time Marshtomp led off with his Bubblebeam, surprising Articuno, who was usually used to making the first shot. But it didn’t matter much to Articuno, who fired off a white beam from its mouth. Marshtomp felt chilled by the attack, suggesting that it was Ice Beam. In response, Marshtomp used Mud Sport, covering his whole body with warm mud. He then curled into a ball with the sword slung over his back, in the hopes that the sword would deflect part of the attack. The sword did deflect part of it, and the part that did hit Marshtomp caused only minimal damage, due to the fact that the warmness of the mud cancelled out the chill of the beam. Marshtomp retaliated with another Bubblebeam, forcing Articuno to concede air. Articuno remained undaunted, as he let out a fine spray of some sort. Instantly the whole arena was enveloped in a dense fog. Marshtomp could not tell east from west – he couldn’t see a thing. He knew that Articuno had the advantage in sight, so he’d have to win without relying on his sight. Articuno instantly struck at the Violet Avenger from behind, but as soon as Marshtomp readied his Bubblebeam Articuno was long gone from there. Marshtomp then silently took out his sword from his makeshift leather sheath lashed to his back (made at Westport by Wartortle for a place to always have the sword at the ready), ensuring Articuno wouldn’t hear him. He then perked up his ears awaiting Articuno’s next action, and hid his sword under himself. He heard Articuno coming from the side and, as soon as it got close enough, Marshtomp attacked with the same move that had won him the fight against Zapdos.
_ “Life Slash!” he yelled, this now being the name of his signature move.
_ As soon as Articuno felt the blow, he tumbled backwards. And as the fog cleared, Articuno shouted “Fabulous! Now head for the trench bordering these mountains! By your first three victories here, the seal is broken!” But Marshtomp was already long gone, approaching the trench. He slung the sword back into its sheath, and dove under.
