His inability to take advice and then resorting to personal insults that have no evidence behind them are completely untrue and are not my fault. If he can't handle advice then he should make sure he is informed when he tries to contribute to a conversation.

And FINALLY! im sick of people bragging about how they have all 493, when they were obviously hacked

I don't think that AR is really appropriate for anything involving Pokemon. I would think the company of AR would have to have permission to have any companies game involved with their product. I don't know if that is correct. If that is so, why would Nintendo stop something they started? I'm not saying anything bad about Nintendo. Did the consumers use the codes in a way that Nintendo hoped they wouldn't? :?

Oh yes, because it is so impossible for someone to work hard on their dex and get every pokemon. So hard, it's impossible. Yep. I guess I must have used an action replay to get all 386 pokemon in Ruby version too.

I have around 300 Pokemon, not bragging or anything. (Not that much to brag about even if I was). I haven't traded with anyone online and the only people I trade with don't even know what AR is. They only trade with me by the way. :)

It looks like Charizard Trainer wasn't saying all people with all the pokemon have hacked pokemon, just that he doesn't like it when people DO have hacked pokemon, but still brag about it.

I would just like to clarify right now, for all you bad little hackers (:O), that Nintendo is only banning the use off those three certain codes, you can still hack individual pokemon, and make them shiny or whatever.

Personally though, they should just ban ALL hacked pokemon, as someone (can't remember who) said before, Nintendo techinically has a right to sue all AR users. I have a suspicion, though, that Nintendo will ALWAYS allow people to hack individual pokemon. People don't realize that these events cost money for Nintendo, why should they be obligated to spend hundreds of thousands (possibly millions!) of dollars just so that a bunch of people can watch some pixels move around on their game screen? It is much more convenient for them to let people hack Darkrai's on so that they can be content.

Twas me. The only thing I think you need to take into account is that Nintendo will make much more money than they spend at these events. Think about the Darkrai event. They have to send some people down to different participating theaters who then gives people a Darkrai. Let's say they give each person that goes $200 (even though that's probably incredibly high). If they send them to 1,000 theaters nationwide they're spending $200,000. Yea that's big bucks, but what about the profit from all the movies? Not only are they getting money from the theaters with events, but there's still tens of thousands other theaters around the country that will be playing the movie, probably more than once in a day and some on multiple screens. The last movie made over 29 million without events. Nintendo definitely stands to make MUCH MUCH more than they'd lose in this particular event.

i was kind of nieve when i the gba games were out and i used the ar on that but only to get the pokemon no hacks like shiney stats or anything like that will my ds game be affected if i just have pokemon caught with a AR on the GBA games? if any one has any info on this let me know
and another thing they might take a que from Blizzard entertainment and do what they did with Diablo 2 set a scanner that can scan anny account that is connected for duplicated items (in this case pokemon) and deleate them and if its creation was traced back to you your account was deleated.

Yeah um.....doesn't nintendo have the right to sue all the companies that make 3rd party accessories anyway? Also off topic but.... I wish Dialga vs Palkia vs Darkrai (don't know the order don't care either lol) was going to be shown in theaters around here but I highly doubt it since the last 4 or 5 movies were straight to dvds lol. They should have include something with the dvd that could give you the event pokemon or something lol......like those pokemon cards that came with the other movies..

Action Replay is a buisness, they're in it for the money just as much as anyone else. I don't think they care if Nintendo starts banning users because it won't affect their sales all that much, tough cheese for the people who spent money on their product and can't cheat anymore.

i also think that they should do that because most people cannot get to the events (but now you can do it over wifi  ) and dont have wifi connection which sucked cuz i dont have deoxys. i didnt even know what deoxys was until after the events were over

Well, a change for the better for sure. The only problem, though, is that I doubt that Nintendo will ever be able to ban any more than

I'll say...20% of AR users.

Either because they can't find them, or because it's just too hard to find evidence against them.

hmm.... while i'm not a fan of cheat devices, this would stink. in australia, they've never had nintendo events ever so how can they blame us for trying to get an event pokemon when the company's too cheap to have an event?

EDIT: W0000000000000000000t!!!!! nintendo events are finally coming to aus!

You are obviously one of those little kids that goes around complaining about everything and never does any research, thus making up flase accustaions to support your dull and unexcitable whinging period.

Nintendo Events for Mew and Celebi were both held at the Gold Coast's Movie World, I know because I got my Celebi there, and they also gave me Mew, even though they were giving them away like two years ago. The guys from Nintendo are pretty understanding in that Australia does often get missed out, which is also why at the Pokemon World Campionship thing, the one that came to Australia for the first time last year, they were giving away ALL the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald events at once, in my opinion to compensate for their lack of support to Australian gamers. I went to the tournament last year, but I didn't bring my Emerald Version with me as I was actually only in Sydney to do some shopping (Yay for new wigs!!) and only realized when I got there that Pokemon Fever had struck. So I went out and bought a deck of cards and slammed my way through three trainers. A fourteen year old beat me. It sucked. I was nineteen at the time. I cried.

But yes, Nintendo Events have been coming to Australia for many years now.

Also, I think this is a good idea. I remember I used to play Pokemon NetBattle all the time and there woudl be loads of people online with Pokemon that were IMPOSSIBLE to beat. One water pulse form Kyogre and you'd be out for the count. True, it was a little different to what we're talking about, but I was as frustrated then as I would be now had I a wifi and was dealing with this sort of thing.

By the time I get my wifi (I'm going on tour in a few weeks so there isn't much point me bothering with getting one until I finish) hopefully this ban will be well into effect.

He had glasses and was wearing a checkered red and white shirt. He spoke really quietly and his Mum was standing over his shoudler the whole time.

It was so demeaning. He just had a killer deck. It was so random, I'd be thinking to myself that he was plant and fire, and the suddenly out coems a water Pokemon and I was like, okay... Then suddely he slams a Geodude and a Machop on the bench. And I'm just like "THIS IS SO F***ED!!!"

And finally he finished me off with a Season one Alakazam.

I'll never live it down... A fourteen year old... His voice hadn't even broken.

On the topic of banning cheating devices, Nintendo has every right to ban the use of products created for use on their own games without authorization from them. I always believe cheaters never prosper, and so I strongly support their decision.

Think about how the game would play out without cheating devices...

1. Shiny Pokemon are ACTUALLY ENVIED! No more "yeah yeah, I got that one too" or "Yeah, I'll decide which color I like better later."

2. Everyone has a fair chance at online competition. The more dedicated and skilled would win, which is how it should be.

3. Without codes and cheats, people actually play the game like it was meant to be played. Collecting over 400 pokemon should not be an easy task whatsoever.

I could think of other reasons to support this so I would like to see the good arguments contrary to mine.

These isn't one. It's simply the right thing to ban them.
