Personally i dont get the big deal the first was pretty good but nothing id watch over and over again besides sequels are like never as good

EDIT:ya back in da day when i watched it was cool cause back then i liked it but with siblings and all watching it ya i can definetlyt say there moves havent been the best.... for a long time

Well even though the movie looks stupid don't say all sequels suck, Spiderman 2 was better, LOTR Two Towers was better, Chamber of secrets, shrek 2, and the list continues through the past decades.

I expect this thread to get the same type of posts the old one did. Which is disappointing. :/

Anyways, I will watch it, but I won't RUSH to watch it. I'll probably see it before the year is out, something like that.

I have absolutely no expectations for it whatsoever, except that I expect them to make new and original songs that are just as good as the ones in the old movie. Possibly better.

High school musical was just a big attempt to get Disney Channel Movies out of the gutter (which I might say is where they belong) but honestly, the only reason its so famous is because it advertises to younger audiences. You as well as myself dont like it because were not that age anymore.

My faith in humanity has reached a new low. I thought Hostel 2 was as low as this pathetic race could get, but we just love to keep one-upping ourselves, don't we?

I, personally, loved High School Musical. I bought the DVD and the soundtrack and everything. I'm happy they're making a sequel.

Also, good on Disney. They know how to make money, you can't knock them for that.

Well the way I look at it, Disney struck gold when they came up with high school musical. They think they know how to make money but the thing you have to try and remember is the fact that sequals normally fail or copy the same thing they did last time. To me HSM was just a fluke!

High School musical 2=Shudder and hide in closet until the nightmares pass. High School Musical was HORRIBLE!!!!! I hated it. Then again, i hate all musicals because it takes forever to do anything. But HSM takes the cake for all musicals. The man who decided to make a sequal should be fired.

I have never watched High School Musical simply because I know I wouldn't like it. This doesn't mean I have anything against people who do.

For every movie, Disney has to have at least one sequel. It's a law of the studio.

we almost had to do a play in our school about it. i think it is going to be a good movie though.

Same for me. My dad even taped the first one for me a few months ago but I've just never bothered watching; it sounds way too cheesy and like it's something for 6 year olds. I'm still shocked though by a couple of my friends liking it, (one's 19 and the other is 18, 19 in 4 months). My best friend - the one who is 18 - is a guy and if we go into 'The Disney Store' when we're shopping, they always have High School Musical songs on, and he knows all the words! I don't have a lot of pride and I'm usually the one embarrassing people because I'm a bit scruffy but I have to quiet him down because he starts singing along and I'm like "What the...?" He's always looking at High School Musical merchandise too; he bought some H.S.M. chocolate from a shop the other day for £2 something, which is expensive for normal chocolate.

He usually likes horrors and comedies .
