I've been having thoughts for a while about resetting my game data. I somewhat regret beating the game two days after it's been released, and I was wondering if I do decide to restart my game, which pokemon would I have someone hold? Obviously, I'd have someone hold a team of pokemon that are rare and hard to train, as getting legendaries from the other games isn't that big of an issue to me. (I have FireRed, Ruby, and Emerald, so theres a very slim select few that I can't obtain.) I figure between GTS, my old games and a team of 6 pokemon who I'd have someone hold I could restart the game, enjoy my new profile (New name, Friend Code, Battle Records, and everything like that.) and still have something to go on.

On the other hand, I reserved Pokemon Battle Revolution and was wondering if it could store pokemon in it's game memory. I'd feel awfully stupid if I found out it could do that, and ended up losing the majority of my pokemon.

This thread is dedicate to that choice, but not that alone. It's also to see what six pokemon YOU would keep and have that friend hold for you while you restarted. Basically, which ones would you keep and why? Remind you, without the 8 badges pokemon at higher levels cannot obey you.

So you want to restart your game?
Then the six pkmn you would have a friend hold what do you mean are they fully trained or do you mean you want to start off with those pkmn?

Battle Revolution creates a copy of the Pokemon, it doesn't actually transfer them.

I'd keep:

A Houndour in my PC with great IVs.
An EV-trained Azelf.
Celebi
Deoxys
Mew
Ho-oh

Either or. If I were to restart, I'd want to recieve a Dratini Egg. That way, when it's hatched, I would be it's original trainer, and have a strong pokemon to start off with and put on my team.

What I'm trying to say, is which pokemon are most important to you, that you'd want to keep while you restarted.



Alright, so it makes a copy. Can you trade the copies back to Diamond and Pearl?

I'd like to keep my Crobat, Ambipom and Blissey cos they took so long to train and Ambipom is fast-becoming one of my favourites.
I'd also keep all legendaries and starters for trading purposes later on as i'd eventually have 2 sets of them.
Oh, and my two shinies - Golem and Gastrodon.

I love starting the pokemon games over again - the second time I always try to exploit every hidden item and pokemon in the game like a real perfectionist

Yes, I did AND I've transferred my shiny Nidoqueen from LG

And yeah - my Blissey is rubbish.... now, I'd keep my Magmar
